Dixie Dean played from Everton from 1925 to 1937. In this time, he set the world alight, scoring incredible amount of goals and winning himself a number of honours along the way. His finest achievement was scoring 60 goals in a league season, a record that is unlikely to be broken anytime soon.

He was my Grandads hero and he always used to tell me stories about Dixie from back in the days, he was most vexed when I got to meet Dixie and got his autograph at a charity football match in 1974-75, I've always loved Dixie and I'm a rednose, true legend :)

The late great bill shankly idolised dixie...and that says a lot, over 100 goals in all competitions in ONE SEASON....how lucky we were / are to say that he was one of us...a true blue ✌

Dixie Dean of Everton and England; the all-time greatest English top-flight goal-scorer with 60 League goals in the season 1927-1928 and in his whole Everton career 310 League goals in 362 League matches in the First Division (and altogether with Everton 349 League goals in 399 League games). Can someone tell these so called sports writers Dixie scored 60 league goals. They are claiming that city player haaland. Has at the moment has scored 34 league goals not 50 his 50 is in all competitions Dixie scored 65 in all competitions FA CUP only .no other competitions in those days.
