I live in Thailand and have been driving a BYD Dolphin (150 kW, 60 kWh) for 9 months (20,000 km). The Dolphin costs the equivalent of less than 25,000 euros here. I am very happy with it. It is not perfect, but for that price...? The quality of Chinese vehicles has become very good these days.

@@peterdonath6578 The Seal EV is old news, the new hotness in China is still the ... Seal but DM-i, with the new BYD 5.0 PHEV platform able to go 2000 km on one tank of gas, and under urban driving conditions as low as 2.1 L/100 km consumption on just gas alone. BYD had been selling more and more BEVs compared to PHEVs all throughout 2023, but now in 2024, PHEV sales have swung back up, and that's before they released their much hyped 5th gen PHEV tech.

You have to mount it to the front of the car if the battery is completely empty or the car broke down on the road and towtruck guys connect their wires to this so they can tow the car up to the truck. Its a bit wierd to see this in an EV because most of them are not towable, but this is a useful thing if something bad happens😅
