To be fair, he’s possibly up in QLD and we’ve been having 30-35 degree days up here in the past week, and he said when he first started filming that it was a hot day. 😅

Should probably clarify that, people had suggested that the Aircon in the Atto was a bit lacklustre. With the glass roof and 30 degree days I thought it might be lacking but haven't found that to be the case. It does lack that punch though.

The acceleration is really smooth I’ve found. Haven’t drive the performance yet. A mate described it feeling more like falling on the tower of terror. It does look unreal.

I've only been a passenger and witness to the Tesla Autopilot options. The Radar Cruise/Steering assist seems to work pretty well but is definitely not 'autopilot'. The lane assist is as others have commented a little overzealous and the speed alerts a little bit of a nag.

Nah, it's not there. There is a video though showing you can just order the OEM part from Aliexpress and it will install the app. Have one on order now :)

No worries, sorry about potato phone. They do for the most part, to be honest I keep forgetting it's a thing. It does help with finding buried features. It seems to save Lane Assist settings, and also the Speed alert.

There was pretty limited options for EQ, i'm using the CarPlay, while it's loud I agree it doesn't go as hard as it might. I bumped the Sub, but am by no means an audio expert. I have found sometimes it gets stuck changing the wrong volume and had to bump my phones volume maybe?

No worries, sorry for the 🥔 film quality. I talked myself out of the Performance down to the Premium. The EV rebate was the main thing, and then the AWD/3.6 while I probably have slight regret for not getting, I can still get where I need to go pretty fast.

Is great fun to drive, I might be biased coming from an i30 SE 2015 though.... but think its fantastic!

@@Zm0oWOuld I see in the reflection of your phone in the car screen, it looks like an iPhone 13/14 Pro model. Should be crystal clear and great quality. As others have mentioned, might just be a dirty camera lenses. Also one other thing, film in landscape. Going to check out a BYD Seal on the weekend, excited!

@lwilson5594 Just picked it up today, and you are so right. One weird thing, in reviews the photos just doesn't do the car shape justice. I took some pics and same thing, so much nicer in person...

Have been just doing daily town driving for work. At 100% it reports somewhere above 550km, have only done one longer trip Toowoomba -> Ipswich -> Brisbane -> Ipswich and home. Got down to about 40% battery from 100% charge. Granny charging at home as been sufficent for my week, and then sort of make up the residual on the weekend.

Sorry mate, no youtube career in my future.

Just granny charging at home on the 10A plug. I find that overnight (Depending on when I get home & leave) I'm seeing about 100-120km charge added overnight. I'm coming up on 2000km and planning to do a trip to Northern NSW for Xmas which will need to stop at chargers in maybe Glenn Innes/Inverell or Tenterfield. So far have only tested it locally on a few of the chargers at local shopping centre and Golf Club. They all seem to work without issue, the Eevie? one and the Tesla V2 both work at 80kwh.

Seems super smooth. I haven't really hit one hard or anything but couldn't feel any great difference to my old car.

Have ordered an OEM Dashcam, i haven't opened the spot for it yet to check but believe that this will be the case

Yeah there is one nearby www.tesla.com/findus/location/supercharger/toowoombaqldsupercharger, had no issues, the cord can reach this one too. I've seen with the Atto 3 where the charger port is at the front that you have to park across 2 on an angle to get it to reach, was 18kWh for about $15. Car took about a minute for it to start charging.

That’s pretty high for premium version. Can you update if you got lower number

They seem to come back. But it’s a little inconsistent. I feel like sometimes they stay off but then seem to come back. Hopefully software update will fix.

@@BillyWallace785 nah it doesn’t really do it. The regen isn’t hyper aggressive is more subtle I guess. Maybe with the radar cruise you can sort of do it.

@@BillyWallace785 it does the lane assist and steering assist plus the radar cruise. Not anywhere near what the Tesla has on that side. It can detect traffic signs apparently but I think only for speed signs

I have only been a passenger in a Tesla so take my comments with a grain of salt, but I believe that the AutoPilot features in the Tesla are superior. I did a trip recently 350km highway drive and found the Steering Assist & Radar Cruise control reasonably competent and definitely made the trip much more enjoyable. The lane assist is pretty violent and doesn't seem to decide when to tap out versus aggressively try to steer you away from the middle of the road.

Just putting a video up about the infotainment. I have found the ride pretty comfortable and pretty generous. The handling seems great, I haven't really done anything too exciting in it, but it's comfortable and very smooth. It does have the annoying alerts for lane assist but have managed to turn everything off and it seems to stay off which is good.

They are on order now. Not sure but I believe they are fabric.

It’s Tesla not Toyota, the bar isn’t very high lol, they’re basically known for build quality issues and it’s not great having your wipers, gear shift, headlights, etc on the touchscreen. At least on most cars including this one, if the screen freezes you’d lose infotainment and some climate settings but at least the vitals still work.

I haven't had the screen freeze or anything yet (only done 2000kms). I have had to restart the infotainment for installing the dashcam but was reasonably trivial task. I have read some reviews about questions around warranty specifics etc., time will tell, I guess. From my observations everything feels very well put together etc., again I'm sure there are others who might comment here about this, but for the price point I really couldn't fault what I have seen/experienced. One difference seems to be the Tesla drives everything through the infotainment, there is still a lot on the seal, but there are buttons on the wheel & center console to control Aircon, Performance Settings, Radio/Audio and then additional settings via the Dashboard that are simplified. I believe the Tesla drives everything through the infotainment screen but not really sure.

Yeah I think so. Was talking with one of the other guys who got theirs early and they made a comment about how there is no weird chime noise like the Atto. Not sure whether that is just an oversight. I remember test driving it and I could easily hear it inside driving slow or stopped. Definitely can’t hear anything, there was a German guy who reviewed the EU one and his had the chime. Hopefully they don’t fix it if that’s the case.
