I stayed 2 weeks in Khanom in March. One week in Vish Hotel & second week in Sea Breeze House on Naiplao Beach (you covered them 12/18 months ago!). Barely any farangs at the time bar some intrepid continental Europeans. And as your drone shots showed beaches entirely deserted. Well worth it & not yet destroyed by overtourism like other previously fantastic places in Southern Thailand.
Thank you for showing ne this private spot. I away from homeland since childhoid.. now I'm a tourist in my own Homeland. I can't wait to vone back for my final golden years.. thank you for respectful video of my country. ❤
@@SideTripLife Great video. If i can recommend a nice place - Follow the beach road south towards Sichon and there's a cafe called Sea Circle Cafe. Really nice food and quiet beach if you get a chance to check it out!
I'm with you STL there's nothing better than being away from people to be able to enjoy the atmosphere of a place. This is an area I never got to see funny nobody even mentioned it and it is a real secret hidden gem. Thanks for highlighting it my friend. Bushyboy Oz
Im so excited about this Khanom series. I fell in love with Khanom the last time you went. I was blown away by the chill vibe and endless empty beaches. Im praying you make these videos longer with endless sidetrips throughout. Love your content and thanks for all the work you put in
Et vous aussi mon ami:) Btw any looking in, this is from Miss Nadine, humble serpent slayer and innkeeper at lovely Bamboo Resort Khanom. To contact her, or to enquire about rooms, or Khanom info, pls click the link in the pinned comment above.
OMG- my husband and I were beginning to wonder about what happened to you! So glad to see you back & love this awesome video❤❤❤ Thanks for sharing this vlog & so dying to see your next one 😊
I stayed in Khanom and Prachuap Khiri Khan last year after watching your vids. Was definitely not disappointed, I hope to do the same this year. Thanks again 😀
I've been to Khanom countless times ;) But there's still so many amazing places to discover around there! Thanks for a lovely video! The maps are a great touch by the way!
Great Video ! Exploring Thailand will be a #1 priority once I am retired. These videos are great and really show folks that Thailand is a safe place and people are VERY welcoming ! :)
You said it STL, "just effin' wow"! Not surprised...but always amazed at what you are able to bring to life w/ a camera, drone, and maps. All of the areas you've shown here look like such fun to explore and the Khanom area is a real beauty! I cannot wait to see what else you have in store for us.
"Just wow!" Took the words right out of my mouth. Only about 3 more years and I hope to be standing on one of those beaches. I'll buy you a drink if we run into each other! Thanks for another fantastic video.
I'm with you on the "off season,/crowdless beaches. I used to love going to places like English Bay or Canada Place to watch the fireworks, or going to Playland or the PNE, all the super busy and loud, over crowded places, but that passion died fast and now I can't stand crowds or noisy/load places. Maybe it's old age catching up to me. LMFAO CHEERS buddy. Keep safe and stay healthy. 🙂👍
Great vid STL, again I think the rainy season is the best time to visit all those great beaches without the crowds. Just heading back north after visiting Cha Am area. Thanks for posting 🙃
without doubt the best video's about Thailand, so interesting accompanying you on your travels, thanks!! Also the song playing when you went into Yataka resort 28:00 made my jaw drop, one of my favourite by a young artist who is sadly no longer with us, and not that well known i think. Anybody else in the comments catch it?
Thanks for another great video! What a little gem of a place❤I’m hoping to find something similar up north of Phuket on the Andaman Sea. I’ll keep watching your videos til I retire there. Much love from Japan ❤❤
good evening/ good morning as you are 10 hours ahead of me. I've been following your channel for quite some time, and I like the way you put up the things. This would be the place for me, as I live in São Paulo Brazil with too many people. I would love to spend a few weeks in an isolated place like this, except for its locals. Excellent tip. Keep up the good job. Best wishes from Brazil
The entire Western side of the Gulf has tons of fantastic much less traveled beach setting options > spent a week last year approx 4+ hrs north of Khanom (in Chumphon) Thung Wua Laen (Bull) Beach > very quiet & cozy > Ferry about an hr + if I recall to Samui & Phangan > indeed hidden gems all over this side of the Gulf + I'm an early riser so the Sunrise beach walks facing East on the Gulf are spectacular 🌅
Great timing, we are heading back to Khamon at the end of July (after going there last Aug) and then taking the car ferry to Koh Samui and then onto Koh Phangan. Love your video's, hopefully you put another video up before we get there.
Just checked last night to see if I missed a video. I’m following your footsteps in Kuta, Lombok right now (some of the same beaches today) and though I am following, don’t worry, I’m not stalking you, just following the video trail you blazed.
Loved Kuta Lombok (Kuta Bali not so much;) Kuta Bali: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-wSef3fCBTwc.html Kuta Lombok: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE--u2C0ZjfKOM.html Even better: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-qkUuEPSbGjU.html Will be back in Indo soon for more, enjoy
Hello STL i folowed you to kenom 3 years ago and enjoyed it. This time you changed the strategy and rented a car insted of motobike. i think its a better idea. last time you gave exact info about moto rent and this time where in surat you rented the car
Hi, actually bought the car last year. Was looking to buy a bike but saw the car and as it was same price as a bike and it all checked out at the mechanic and DMV (blue book/tax paid etc) bought it for 50k Baht/$1500. This was the longest road trip so far and 'Trippy' ran like a champ, so far so good (touch wood;)
Enjoyed a trip late May, none of the crowds as you say. From Surat Thani to Nakhon Si Thammarat I don't think we saw a farang tourist, changed a bit when we got to Krabi!
As always great videos. Something that might help the viewer, I like to follow along on in Google maps. I typed in your header and it didn't pop it's nice when you can type it in before you start the video so I know where you're at 😎🥃
Hey !! We love your Thailand’s video 🇹🇭😃🙏😍. We moved to Koh Phangan last year, and definitely your RU-vid channel helped us a lot with that decision to come here . Are you still in Koh Phangan ?
Great video! I'm looking to make my way down south to Phang Nga and Krabi to check out the coastal areas, away from the beaten paths, on the Andaman Sea. Surat Thani and Nakhon Si Thammarat coastal areas on the gulf side also have nice beaches!
Another fantastic video Randy thank you. Yet another area to venture out to from Hua Hin when I arrive... If you see this Randy could you comment on the wifi availability and reliability. Many Thanks Col.👍
What the hell was that trick, about the 2bd party place, but the Price never came up !? I was all ready to plan a party !! So, how much ?7😳 I'm gonna guess it's under a hundred $us, which makes a once/mo neighborhood party flexibility work. It feels so good to give ! 🤷🥳😃 . what an awesome show today, just what I needed.😊
Just started watching, Awesome, I just realized last night that I didn't put the full moon patty on my calendar I'll start e nd of Aug !! And here you are, reading my mind !😜😃🤠🏖️😎 Hopefully we can ave a drink together. What's the best way from HH to K P Gan ?
i think when you were driving and found that bamboo resort was one of the earlier vlogs i saw after i subcribed, i think you either had come from koh pangan or went there after
Another great video! Thanks STL! Quick drone question. Do I need to do anything prior bringing the same drone from Canada? And thank you for no sand landings this time. Lol!
Licence is 'officially' required (got mine when purchased at dealer here). However, few tourists seem to have one as it takes ages plus red tape etc. Most are using under 149G drones like mine which is a grey area but no flying within 9km/5 miles of airports, obey 150m ceiling limit and no flying in Ntnl Parks where prohibited. On a personal note, no 'buzzing' people relaxing on a beach, or at a pool etc and moreover just use common sense.
hi there, yep so many places like this dotted all over thailand,, heading to indonesia in a few weeks,, its 1c here in melbourne,, get me outa here lol 🌴
