Hello I had this procedure done on June 28th My only question is since you shorten the intestine does that mean I get last nutrition or the same?

Less, that’s why it’s important to take your vitamins. You can have malnutrition. Oh so my surgeon said 😊

Hi WTFMAN, no, this is another bariatric surgery technique. It involves a wide sleeve gastrectomy (54fr orogastric tube, normal 32fr) + shortcut between duodenum and the ileum. Best for type 2 Diabetes, recent diagnosed.
