I forgot to mention an important detail...THIS PALETTE IS LIMITED! And when it comes to Byredo, when they say limited, they mean it 👀 it is currently available on their site now: go.shopmy.us/p-4653949
Girl, I’ve been waiting patiently for this video. Unless Alicia Archer gives me numerous ideas on how to use the palette, I don’t even want it! You are a true artist. 🥰🎨
Me! I was that person who thought they didn’t need it until they saw the video. BUT!!!! I feel like this last year I learned the importance of investing in quality makeup and quality packaging! So sleek, beautiful and amazing performance. Byredo gives all of that!
Hooked at first swatch! You are still the best Swatcher on the Internet 🏆. She’s pricey, but she is beautiful because she is unique❤ This is not your every day neutral palette with an occasional pop-up color…. This is an entire landscape from the deep sea, across the sand, walking into the dunes, gazing at the sky❤ and that’s why she is soooo worthy👏👏👏👏👏👏
I’m not as interested in palettes these days but this palette is stunning. It came back in stock this afternoon and took it as a sign!😂 Asodr from FOMO, I really think I would have regretted not getting this palette.
I was absolutely not going to get this…but Remembrance is one of my most used and loved palettes ever. I didn’t think that the colors were for me - but, long story short, I ordered it! So, I will be studying this video so that I know what to do with it when I get it!
This palette is absolutely stunning! As I'm ghostly pale, I love desaturated cool shades (regular deep shades make me look like a clown). It's not in my current budget, but I have similar shades, so love your look book ideas 💕
Mine arrived today! I got an email from Byredo..but it was sold out. Found it at Selfridges. Cool toned palette with blues…in Byredo formula…heavenly! Was waiting for your review and looks. So excited
I’m still kicking myself for passing up Kalahari. Rememberance is still one of my absolute favorites and I can’t wait for mineralscapes to come in! I feel like all of these shades can be one in dones, which is definitely my style.
I’ve been waiting to see what you come up with! I received mine this last weekend and have had so much fun playing with this palette! My first Byredo and worth every single penny. Loving the blues too. Just a great palette all around.
even if this color story may not be for me (i’ll see it in person to confirm lol) i absolutely love seeing you enjoy the formula, colors and application process 😍 ty as well for taking the time to describe the formulas and continually give application advice as i think it’s super helpful when you’re familiar with a brand or can give guidance thru overall experience. another great byredo review!! x
Hi Alicia! Thanks so much for this awesome video! I received this palette last week and have been using it quite a bit. Your eye looks are really helpful, though, because I’m not always sure how to pair the colors. I really enjoy your videos; they are very informative and interesting. Love your humor too!☺️
Alicia, I'm sorry, but this palette was a definite need! Mine arrived yesterday afternoon in Australia and I've been admiring it since. Before you use the shadows any further, get a torch and shine it over the shades - this will blow your mind at how more, if possible, these shades are so spectacular! It wasn't due until tomorrow, so I rested my poor weary and painful back in bed for the day. Then, my haul from Givenchy arrived, including the 9.12 Eye Palette and later on the Byredo Mineralscape came too. The palette that dreams are made of! For the record, Sweden is in Scandinavia, referred to as 'Swedes', which explains the shades and their reference to the landscape. Although, they pretty much vibe with Switzerland too, who are the Swiss. When I first saw Flora Kalahari, it looked just like the landscape of Australia, especially our vast expanse of deserts. Now, with the Mineralscape, it looks even more like our more lush areas that include the Alps, extensive forests, islands of all types and even the Alpine areas near where I live. Forget Sweden, I'm claiming these for Australia! As I'm not up to using mine yet due to still suffering too much pain, you most likely heard my screams of delight after seeing your video go up this morning. You even read my mind with the particular shades I wanted to see you use. When it came down to the last two looks, I literally crossed my fingers hoping you would use that gorgeous teal and then go into the lavender shades. You heard me! I would highly advise anyone receiving this palette, to shine a torch over the shades first prior to touching them. Sparkles of multiple colours will reflect back at you, making you love the palette even more. I didn't think anything could beat Flora Kalahari, but now Mineralscape has joined it at the top of my extensive collection of palettes. I was surprised at how high the price had jumped since just last year, by A$58.00! At least they only release one palette per year, which I can cope with. There was an issue with distribution, told to me by a well placed little bird, so they should be made better available very soon. At last glance, Selfridges still had it available. Unfortunately, Byredo are another who do not think us worthy of delivering to Australia and instead stick us with one supplier that is rather choosy with what they order in, hence grabbing mine from Selfridges when it popped up was an easy decision. I'll try and drag myself out of bed now and lounge of my couch with my beautiful dream palette by my side. My eyes have been dry too, due to not feeling up to my regular skincare regime. They can have a break today, but I hope to delve into this wonder tomorrow. I was so looking forward to your review Alicia! More videos are most welcome!! 🇦🇺💖👩🏼🎨
Kris!! I was hoping you would write, and I couldn’t wait to hear your input. And I also have to respond to your last comment on my Prada video. I hope you’ll feel better, and I can send you one of my flex classes. I’m not sure if it will be helpful, but will be happy to send! Yes I wish I took more b-roll of it untouched to receive THE FULL EXPERIENCE! It beautifully captures nature’s sorcery-when I see this palette, I’m immediately transported to that landscape. Whether it be in Sweden or Australia 🤣 I now can’t decide if I like FK or Mineralscapes more. It’s tough because all facets of nature are stunning, and have their own character. Le sigh. This is truly a masterpiece of a palette.
@@aliciaarcher You know that it was only last year when the Remembrance Palette came out that I subscribed to your Channel? I've watched so many of your videos that it seems much longer. I was watching them throughout the night and about to start on more PML when I discovered you had put up this video. Unfortunately, I missed the Prismic Palette, but I keep my eye out on eBay, you never know! I actually discovered the Burberry Runway Eye Palette there just prior to Christmas! It's also where I found my ND Gold Palette too and several other great buys. So many brands do not deliver to Australia and it's so frustrating trying to track items down overseas. Oden's Eye is in Sweden and they provide free shipping after you reach a reasonable amount spent, as does Lethal Cosmetics in Berlin. Just between us, and everyone else on the internet, Byredo had some delivery issues with Mineralscape. My spell-check, for some bizarre reason, wants to change the name to 'Dreamscape', so you'll know why if you see this. I bet you have the same shades in your landscape too across the US. I suppose they have to refer the colour-scheme to something. I honestly can't choose between the Kalahari and Mineralscape. They both resonate equally in a patriotic kind of way due to looking so much like what surrounds me. I live in the small State of Victoria near the Australian Alps, yet we also have deserts too. You'll laugh at how small Victoria is compared to the other States, yet we have just about all types of landscape, even snow on the mountains in Winter. A fun fact is Australia actually has more snow than Switzerland! I'll let you work that one out for yourself, and it's not a joke! Unfortunately, I injured my back and neck 37yrs ago when still in my teens. No-one wants to take you seriously at that age and simply hope you grow out of it. Well, I didn't. Sometimes I have days where I just want to lie in bed and shut the world away. I had checked that I wasn't supposed to get any deliveries until Friday, yet they both turned up yesterday! If I hadn't been in bed, I most likely would have delved into my Mineralscape too and swatched it. It was after I saw the Sun streaming inside onto my arm when swatching Xenon, that I discovered what both sunlight or torch-light can do to shadows. It got even better when I went outside. It's still up there with Kalahari and Mineralscape, amongst others as the best. How can we really choose our favourites when I had watched your video going through all your ND Palettes last night! I'm still hoping for the 28-pan Green-Brown eventually. Don't worry about the other comment, I just loved how you delve into those Prada Palettes like I do. What's the point of buying them if whimping out by only using the pop of colour as a liner or inner corner cop out? I have quite small eyes compared to your beauties, so can't pull off your look. My skin is far too light too. Yet I do slather it all over my mobile lid after adding the satin to the crease, a touch of depth in the outer edge and use the metallic shade starting in the inner corner and sweeping it up about a third of the way onto the colour, yet this does change with mood. The chartreuse Quad what look great on you too. If I had a money tree in my yard, I'd buy you the lot and all the Lipsticks! You'd look great in the Givenchy Lipstick that came yesterday in a burnt orange - Intense Silk. I'm fairly new to Givenchy since early last year when I scored the only L/E Eye Palette from Sephora. I loved the softer satin formula so much that I now have them all, except for the elusive No.6 that may have only gone to Asia. Once I fall for a range - I'm gone, hook, line and sinker! I'm quite lucky to not have any wrinkles nor remotely look my age. I have to argue the fact that I'm telling the truth! Even when being triaged by a nurse in the back of an ambulance, she asked my age and looked confused. She turned to the Paramedic and asked "is that right?" Hey, I'm not complaining, but there comes a time when full-on glitters are just going to be too much. I still love my PML Collection. What a hypocrite I am. My first Mothership was also Subversive due to being on sale at Sephora for one day at 50% Off! I kept saying that I had no intention of collecting them all, but alas this came to fruition when the Star Wars version of Decadence arrived early this year (I ordered the only Decadence available in its regular packaging but got lucky!) and I now have them all. I do own a good majority of ND Palettes, but no mini ones. What I wouldn't give to track down Safari! You can be a bad influence you know, but in a good way. If you ever decide that travel is in order, you're always welcome at anytime. I'll just have to lock my make-up collection away! Only kidding, you'd be welcome to use it. I have a Deep Heat Back Patch on that feels like a hot water bottle, yet not quite as hot. These things feel great. I hope you get them in the US. They have adhesive and stick to where heat is needed. I'm not exactly a fan of the cold, yet my greatest travel wish is to go to Antarctica! Sorry for rambling again. I've got YT at the ready on my telly and will watch your video on a screen that it deserves! I was beginning to worry you might not get this palette due to your low-buy, but relieved now to know you have it in your hot little hands. Take care of yourself, Kris.💖
An Aussie here . How on earth do we get this stuff here without breaking the bank ? Selfridges had a very high shipping fee. Is that the best option we have ?
@@aliciaarcher I hope more avenues will open up for us to get products - like this and indie brands. We get discriminated as we are in a down under corner 😄
I don't have this palette but I do have palettes with very similar colors and I am loving the green look. It gave me inspiration for some of my eyeshadows I have been bored with. 😊
Your eye looks are stunning, Alicia! The cool tone of this palette and how beautiful the individual shades look when applied convinced me to make my first Byredo investment. I don't buy large palettes generally but your eye looks, Alicia, left me confident I will put this palette to good use! When you applied the first eyeshadow and said we were done (hilarious!), well that could well be me some days. I ordered mine from Selfridges and it should arrive in a day or two. Thank you for a fantastic video!
Hey Alicia. 110% agree with you. I love it SO much I got a second one. The first one I had to get it from Japan because I got MOFO during the wait for the US release. At the end of the day, I LOVEeeeeee it so much
This is stunning! I ordered it from Selfridges on Saturday and can’t wait for it to get here. This looks like it will be the palette I will use all summer. Thanks for another fantastic demo!
Been looking forward to this video!! My first Byredo palette - such a perfect color story. Been lusting after these larger palettes from Byredo ever since your first video on them. You weren't lying about the formula. It is so luxurious and flattering!
Ohhhh sweet Alicia, what are you doing to me!!! After watching you over and over again I gave in… Bought it today! Too beautiful to pass on this beauty, so in Love with Remembrance and can’t wait to recreate your beautiful looks with it!!! Thank you for the amazing review!🙏🏻✨
O wow, you created the most breathtaking looks with this palette i have seen so far, dear Alicia!!!🤩🤩🤩🤩But, such an artist as you are, i'm not surprised, i loved loved loved every second of this video, thank you!!! This palette is on the way, and that says a lot, with my also more sensitive eyes, i said goodbye to all bigger palettes/more heavy formula's, well not to Tiny Marvels....although i do not wear it anymore, i cannot dump it, Alicia, dear Mel! But besides Patrick Ta with his good matte palette, these are the biggest, as i also want to store it in our beachhouse, where we are now. Flora Kalahari is still super special for me too! There is a shade that can be used as a blush, a shade for highlighter, well, i almost don't touch it than, and very fluffy brush, i want it subtle. The blue's look spectacular on your beautiful brown eyes, Alicia!!!! And, having hazel/khaki eyes, i see enough colours that work for me, and the few very blue shades, i just mix, the formula is so easy! I cannot make such eyelooks, but just love to mix and match, i always make a super mess when i do makeup (not everyday). This video is sooooooooo good, Byredo and entire Sweden can be proud of you!!! And all of us!!!! Take good care of your eyes with a soft cream, allergies i know, not nice, but you did it so brave, all these looks!!! Always love to listen as well, besides watching, its always so relaxing! I wonder if "Behind The Beauty" ever comes back, not that i asked Chels, but i just wondered as this moment, that was soooo good you created, the 3 of you, together with Kelsee!!! Wishing you a wonderful day!!!!😘😘😘😘
@@aliciaarcher I'm so happy your eyes made it!!!❤ You are brave doing so much looks with allergies!!! Sweden is on my wishlist too, Alicia! So far, from Scandinavia, we visited Norway 2 times with hubby's family, quite a some years ago, that is such a peaceful country, so much space, the fjords, breathtaking nature and the people so friendly! USA has also breathtaking nature, such a beautiful country!!! Thanks so much, we bought our beach house in 2016 because of my serious allergic asthma to go outside more in these seasons, but, for The Netherlands, is much more quiet here😍, and our labradoodle also loves it here, naughty Kruimeltje 😂(Dutch for Little Crumble), he is a year and 3 months old and ten hands full of work, but also super sweet! And i love how you always talk about Maddie!🐶😘
Beautiful looks Alicia ❤ Mine arrived this morning and omg IT IS PERFECT. I feel like photos and videos don't do it justice because it's even more beautiful in person 🤩 Stunning shades that perfectly capture colors of nature.
@@aliciaarcher Yes I did, the reflect was out of this world! I love my ND and PML and other really stunning eyeshadows but the Byredo... for me there is just something special about these palettes. The shades, formulas, color curation, packaging, the whole experience.
Sweden! That teal is exactly the color of the sea (Atlantic) next to the coast of an island (for example Madeira Island). The ocean is a deep blue, and as it approaches the coast of the island it takes on this unique blue-green (petrol-blue; teal) tone! This palette is one of the best created I've ever seen, the combination of these two colors and the combination of the rest really makes it an unique color curation! Another fantastic feature is how the shadows change depending on how we apply them; Bright colors that, when well blended, work perfectly as a matte shadow, making a transition, using the same shadow!! I was looking forward to seeing your review of Minerals! I already have mine but I haven't even opened it yet waiting to watch your review! Simply divine! 😘😘
I got my palette the other day and I am excited to use it!! Thank You so much for posting this video and sharing all of the demos. I’m sure your eyelids are shredded. Now I’m more familiar with the formula and just dive right in.
Great demo thanks Alicia x I started buying Byredo fragrances over 10 years ago and that led me to try their makeup when it arrived so like you, I'm hooked but grateful they don't release every season! Ha. I love this palette though and love to see you create new looks with it too - thank you!
"the eyes are done, thank you for coming" 😂 First Byredo, received mine last week and am loving it. The shadows practically blend themselves, brush or finger, a few taps, done. I really like that the grays and taupes retain their color on med tan skin. And yes, it works very well with ND shadows so I'm not mad it only has a couple of mattes. All your looks are so pretty Alicia! ❤
I'm so excited! Just ordered. I've just started branching out to cooler shades some months ago. This palette seems half comfort zone, half wild card to me. And what a piece of art. Ordered directly from Byredo to snatch some fragrance samples, get Gypsy Water and Bal d'Afrique you guys!!
Yes I did! I am waiting (not so) patiently for the delivery. 😊 Can't wait to play. I hope you will do more videos on this like you did with remembrance. Loved all those. 🎉
I have this palette and absolutely love it❤❤❤❤❤ I placed each color individually on my eye so I can see how and where the color will look best on my eyes.
I can't say about the quality of these shadows but colorwise they remind me a lot of eyeshadows from Mac, the eyeshadows from the good old Mac days. I can even recall names. Thank you for your presentation.
Alicia, you are responsible for introducing me to these Byredo palettes, so thank you so much. Remembrance was my favorite palette of 2023, so when I saw pics of Mineralscape I literally gasped and bought immediately from FudeJapan, so I would not miss out. This one Is making me rethink what colors I can wear on my eyes, because these colors are so nuanced and the formula is so incredible. Love.
The formulas remind me the Burbury holiday palette ( 2022?) I don’t know if it’s because they’re similar, or both just so impeccable. They both remind me of fabric on the eyes, like you perfectly described.
Wow- these colors are gorgeous and this is probably my favorite Byredo packaging yet. I’m not tempted since these colors are not the most flattering on me, but this was fun to watch anyway
Oh I pray this beauty comes back in stock! Just went and it’s sold out. Got my name on the list! Thanks for doing demo Alicia! I’ve been ogling this palette. It’s soooo pretty!😊
I’m Swiss (from Switzerland) and all my life (by 99.9 % of people!!!) I’ve been called Swedish and assumed I’m from Sweden 😂😂😂 you’re not the only one ;) beautiful palette but must admit I feel some of my k beauty mini palettes have prettier desaturated shimmers! I do love the nature inspo tho and the green eye was Gorg on you.
That’s funny! Although I do know the difference between Swiss and Swedish, I just forgot which country it was from the article 😅 I should’ve remembered that it was Sweden, as I think that’s Ben Gorham’s homeland. Or where the brand originated from.
These looks you did using this very soft toned, but not boring palette are chef's *! If I didn't have enough similar shades across multiple palettes (including Dior quints and Chanel Empriente du Desert quad, plus a slew of MAC singles, especially their EDES's, then I sure would have gone in for this beauty of a palette!
Idkkkkk….. I really like the idea of it… but I feel like the Odens Eye Jewel & Gem and Stone Rock give me the depth I really prefer… it’s BEAUTIFUL THOUGH!
Alicia, gorgeous looks from this palette!! I just received mine yesterday and haven’t opened it yet. I’m one of those people who see all those shades and don’t know where to start. Watching your different looks gives me hope I can recreate. I have the Remembrance palette and glad I picked this one up. Thank you for the review, demo & swatches!! 😊❤️
I am not a cool tone lover but I am totally seduced by this colour story. The textures and tones seem much more versatile than at first glance. I really think this is my kind of cool.
Ugh this palette is a stunner 😍🙌🤩 & I was thinking of passing 😱 I’m more into warm tones … then I started seeing the swatches & pics & videos 😳🤩 I have the previous 2 & since I didn’t use them I couldn’t initially justify this one … (ps I have way too many palettes 😅) … but then I thought oh no … it’s too special & since I have the others why not add it & use them together ! ❤🙌💃🏻😌👏🏼 plus those greens are my literal weakness 😩😆 needless to say I have zero regrets & I sent you pics of my palette to your IG DM ❤ I’ll recreate a couple of your looks for sure !!! I’m starting to look forward to this release than others (side eye to mother pat 😒) great video as always Alicia !
Maybe cause it's new, but I think this palette is the best I own.(And I own A LOT!) I ❤ it sooo much. Seriously want a back up and that is not something I do anymore.😩
I need to dive back into my collection in order to find shades that are the same, but like you, ti feel there’s something extraordinary about this palette. Maybe it’s because how they shades are arranged, but man 😮💨
What beautiful nature inspired colours! But the price...Haven't tried any Byredo shadows, but I know you have always had positive reviews with this brand, Alicia. Smokey eyes are returning again, and these ARE perfect for a softer version of that look. Lovely!
I would love to snap that pallet in half like a chocolate chip cookie… Have two separate nine pan pallets . I would buy the left side with those gorgeous blues and greens with a transition, shade and that pretty in the corner brow, bone shade . And of course charge half the price that’s the point.😂
Loooove the looks...the shades... but my budget for eyeshadows is inclined to 0 for the next few months ( hopefully for the rest of the year). I was sure you'll buy this palette and I thank you for that! 🥰
This palette is soo up my alley, muted but colorful. Low key colorful, not very sparkly and not very matte, I’m also down for satins and metallics in the crease. The price tho 😵 Also guess which is the only ABH palette I own? 🌝 ( yes its the Nouveau). But I would love the additional blues, purples and taupe/grays that are not in the Nouveau palette, its quite warm on my complexion. Byredo is a Swedish brand so its based on sweden
The looks were so beautiful! But like you said im one of those peach, pink, purple kinda girl. I couldnt get along with the greens and blues. Skipping this palette
