Byron famously played with and coached players such as Magic Johnson, Kareem Abdul-Jabbar, Kobe Bryant, Shaquille O'Neal, and many others. Byron also coached for multiple NBA franchises including the Head Coach for the Lakers from 2014-2016. I don't know if this is true or not, but those are most of the best PGs of their generation. Just missing Deron Williams, but he can't coach everyone lol. If he gets those kinds of results PGs should've been happy to play for him, whether they enjoyed it or not.

@@SportsSpeak73 Some kind of feud. Byron made it pretty clear as recently as his years coaching the lakers that he would not shake Kidd's hand if he meets him. Secret Base should make a beef video on it.

Coop’ NEVER would allow break away dunks. No matter how far he was behind he always met them at the rim, not to foul the guy but to actually block the shot.

I hate that Byron still has underlying beef with D'Angelo. Magic should've override the trade and kept him cause look at what the Lakers are dealing with at PG the past few years.

There are plenty of guards that can help them win losing D'Lo is not a major problem. Caruso and Rondo helped them win after D'Lo left. They have Lebron handling the ball and Russell Westbrook now.

@@silewis9396 D'Lo was young talent who went onto be an All Star. I love Caruso too, but he was never gonna become All Star level. Regardless we could've had them both, plus Ingram, Clarkson, Zubac, etc. But no we traded it for 1 ring with way more disappointment before and after

You're cherry picking one positive when it comes D'Lo but not considering the fact there are plenty of guards in the league who are good (like Caruso who actually helped you win because he plays defense). Or that so far this year at 26 years old D'Lo is having his worst season since his rookie year

Maybe because his NBA coaching resume is limited to being an Assistant, and for not very long. The most coaching of professionals he’s done is in the WNBA. Same for Laimbeer.

@@sith06 The responsibilities of an NBA Head Coach are always going to be different from those of an Assistant. So will the relationships with players. Length of resume absolutely factors in to that relative to the question.

Cuz he thought he was better then he actually was, but he was at the level where you have to build your team around him, and play a certain style to have the best chance to win games, but if he’s ur best player ur not a title team.

@@don2911 If you add up all Reggie's non-points stat categories, rebounds, assists, steals, blocks, he STILL doesn't have a double-double average for his career. The definition of a one-dimensional player, and he was always holding dudes out of bounds pulling his screening teammates into moving screens to get him free but not get called for the foul. The minute they changed the rules to prohibit out-of-bounds picks, Reggie's career ended.

@@kb5509 jason kidd on the nets, chris paul on the hornets, kyrie on the cavs when he actually played ball instead of acting like a pseudo intellectual philosopher, and finally kobe on the lakers. he wasn't able to coach any of these teams to a win. you know what? you're right, it is incorrect. byron scott doesn't tank, he just plain sucks.

Byron Scott was ass at coaching remember this is the same guy who didn't believe in shooting 3's in a 3 point shooting league. I still remember when he benched Nick Young after he hit a bunch of 3's to help the lakers win a game dude was toxic my way or the Highway. Thats why he ended up getting fired after 2 seasons and then he acted like he was "blindsided by the decision" smh.
