Im not LDS but I assume in their religion, divorce is either not really a thing or looked down upon, so tying yourself to another person is a serious commitment. I’ve had friends that I knew for months just to find out that they’re not really good friends or people in general. For me personally, I would need at least a year/year and a half to really decide if I can see a marriage in the future. Im glad that a good portion of those fast married couples seem to be doing well but I still think getting married after a month is way too quick

Every mormon I've met has been extremely kind; it's part of their beliefs. I had mormon neighbors growing up, and they always invited me to play on their basketball hoop even if they weren't home. They also tend to be very attractive people you can never get with if you're outside the faith, lol. Had a mad crush on two of my school mates. Don't confuse the niceness for them being interested in you.

I think one of the biggest differences is there is a culture of dating to marry. A large amount of people in Utah are looking for a life partner so they cut to the chase. That being said, I do worry many people jump the gun a little too quick.

Sometimes religions concentrated in one area breed a certain culture in that area that is not always in conjunction to the beliefs taught. The culture ends up being based on traditions rather than principles and doctrine in that area and it should not have any bearing on the religion or the people outside that area who are also part of that religion. I live in Texas and the way that we are down here is different and the culture is different than Utah and Idaho which is also sometimes a problematic state when it comes to members treating non members bad.
