It gives a sense of timeless melancholy, nostalgia, the missing of something you never knew This music is gray, like the last wolf roaming an ancient forest, waiting for it's death, and thus, extinction

@@igorrobit2241 I know it was an aggressive remark, and that's bad, but isn't it annoying that people know refer to any piece of music as a "song" having been indoctrinated by Google. Whenever Google identifies a piece of music it returns "song by....." and even worse, the "by" is usually the performer, not the composer. This is entirely a commercial aberration foisted on us by the internet giants. Sorry for the poster who was humiliated, but I get the point

I don't know the movie, but it was a clever idea to isolate this section from an inner movement of Beethoven's third piano sonata for effect. Pretty rich stuff, especially if you're used to birdseed!

Beautiful, so beautiful. I can't describe how profoundly beautiful this piece is, and used in the right context. Kind of makes me wonder how such Beauty can come from these composers, did they ever sit on a bench and look down at their lives in such a way it gave peace and inspiration, and magic truly exists. Or perhaps it's all science and chemistry of the brain making another solution to an empty symphony.

Cracked.com brought me here! Saoirse didn't know how to play piano, but learned this absurdly difficult sonata in 12 weeks - her instructor called it "miraculous." The notoriously difficult section where the left hand crosses the right is very challenging even for master pianists!

Pianist Simon Chamberlain plays this interpretation. Also, there's a tutorial on youtube for this on youtube. The tutorial breaks it down in a way that what Saoirse did wasn't anything really special. She had 12 weeks to prepare (with a good percent of the day with nothing much to do besides memorize her lines) and a private tutor. Talented? A talented actress, indeed. Talented because she played this solo in 12 weeks with much help? That's debatable.

+Sergio Ramos it's Beethoven but the arrangement or musical score is by Navarrete that's why it is called Sonata in C Major, Opus 2, No. 3 - Adagio ~from Beethoven's original piano Sonata but of course, Beethoven is no longer alive to 1) play the arrangement as shown on the film, and 2) to produce the musical score as used in the movie >*
