I'm in love with the fact that folk music means the same tune is goin to turn up in songs from Ireland AND France.

The melody in the beginning is sooo similar to "The Star of the County Down" Love the song:)

To me this sounds like a mix of “The star of the County down” but then also “Rose Rose Rose Red” it’s such a random mix but ITS SO GOOD!!

oh some parts sound like 'Hejo, spann den Wagen an' a german folksong for the harvest festival.... But well the german lyrics are from the 19th century as i just found out, the melody is english and from the 17th century. It's really interesting how many children song melodies are worldwide known :)

Attempting to translate this with my very little knowledge of French. Cool breeze Breeze of the morning Breeze that's blowing in the tops of the great pines Joy of the blowing breeze Lets go in the great cool breeze I originally thought "sommets" was "sonnets" because of the font but I double checked my translation online and realized it wasn't. Honestly, "breeze that's blowing the sonnets of the great pines" sounds really nice too. I might write that down.

belle reprise, je trouve dommage qu'elle ne soit pas chanté en canon car elle était clairement conçu pour ça :/ ça lui donnait un certain charme et on avait vraiment l'impression que le vent soufflait pour le coup avec les trois airs qui se suivent l'un après l'autre. Mais pour la chanter toute seule et y avoir fait honneur (ça me rappelle mon enfance) merci beaucoup Cécile, elle aurait pu disparaitre et les instruments sont jolis :D
