I love this bag so much! Not personally a big fan of logos, and the celine box bag is such an iconic bag anyway that you wouldn't need a logo to tell exactly what bag it is.

That colour is to die for 😍. I once owned an older model preloved Box bag with the horse carriage clasp, but I sold it because the shoulder strap was too short and not adjustable. Hope your ankle heals well ❤️😘
Very detailed video. I really enjoyed it ! Just a small note here, for people that want to buy this bag. The box leather in long term is actually more durable than other types of leather. That is because the scratches blend in and box is a leather that is easier to maintain and restore. Also it looks amazing with all that shine that gains after using it for years. ❤

I just love that you’ve listed eating as one of the practicalities of it being a cross body bag!! A full mood (especially in summer) I also already scouted a dupe on Amazon 🙈 I’m definitely more about the simpler bags since I hit 30. I think they date better rather than logos and patterns. Great video and a great bag! I have one in the same color but in Box leather. One thing I'd like to mention though: I believe this bag is called "classic bag" instead of "box bag" the only reason ppl call it box bag is because of the use of the box leather :-) The box leather is beautifully smooth and almost has a glow in it. There's no texture and it's definitely delicate and easy to get scratches or marks, unlike the leather in the bag you own. It's a gorgeous bag in both leather type and I love it so much!!

I think if you're going to spend that amount of money on a bag, you chose the absolute best one! It's timeless and elegant, and will never feel wrong. I don't like the type of thinking that if you spend a lot of money on a bag it should have a logo on it. That means that you want people to SEE that your bag is expensive, right? I think it's cooler if you don't have a need to show people that you have an expensive bag, it's more about wearing a bag you love, for you.
One of my favorite bags! Currently eyeing the Bottega Veneta The Pouch in either smooth leather color Mist of the traditional black woven one. It's a lot of money so for now.. just "eyeing" :-)

This bag is perfection! I love your choice in leather/hardware. They don’t seem to make the camel color anymore in the liege leather- in your opinion do you still think the liege is more durable after using it for a while? I’m considering purchasing this in camel but it’s hard for me to find this exact combo on the preloved market. Also is the camel color light or dark camel (Celine seems to have two colors in calfskin on their website).
Yes I would definitely say its more durable in respect of I haven't got any marks on her yet, and with other smooth leather bags I have found they mark quite easily. I would also say its a mid-dark camel. 👍

Hi Emma, it's not a BOX bag. It's a CLASSIC bag in liege calfskin leather. They do come in box calfskin leather as well though. Box is the type of leather, not the name of the bag ;) I have two myself and absolutely adore them, good choice! Have a good sunday! :)

Fantastic thorough review, but it drives me crazy how this gets called the Box haha. Its actual name is simply the Classic. On the website you can see "box" refers to the box calfskin versions :)

Thank you for such thorough content, love your style! Wanted to see what your thoughts are on Celine’s classic bag on the box bag in the natural calfskin. I am intrigued by how the natural calfskin will age and patina but the few used ones I have seen on resale sites makes me hesitate. The few I have seen just seemed really beat up and dirty instead of vintage like with a good patina. Not sure if it’s the nature of the leather or how it had been used…thoughts? Thank you!
I love this bag, I generally just have tan bags as I don’t wear much black and I have my bags for years! I hate big logos! Although I don’t believe you are using your bag as there is no emergency snickers! Ha ha Cross body is a must as well.

Love bumble! Careful you don't put anything too heavy in it I think, The straps might bend the top at the sides (happened with my big furla bag). Hopefully not an issue with the bigger name designer!

I have the exact same bag- same color and also in the liege leather and I absolutely love it, too! But just as you said- those clasps hurt AF when they reach your collarbone area- so you are definitely not nitpicky! :)
The Celine box bag is my absolute favourite of all bags, and everything I would want in a smaller size purse. However, due to price I conceded that I will never be able this afford this bag. I also love the APC Small Grace bag and think that it’s a bang-up alternative but it has one major flaw… the branding. I just cannot understand why most brands insist on writing their name on an otherwise beautiful bag in such a prominent spot. Why would anyone want someone else’s name written on their bag?? I cannot understand it. I wish they’d stop doing it.
I like the colour and bonus no logo! Looks nice and sturdy and may fit my PowerShot camera and battery chargers. I notice the clasp sticks out, do you find it catches on your clothes or other things?
I haven't noticed so far but if you were wearing an oversized open knit, for example, its definitely something to consider as it would probably catch, yes.
It is a beautiful classic bag. I want one but I am concerned because I heard that even a little rain leaves water damage on the bag. But maybe your type of leather is better for water damage as well?

It will really depend on your personal preference but for me this is more of a day time bag in general. However, I would say that anything in black is better suited for day to night wear, so it would just depend on how much wear you feel you will get from it ❤️
I absolutely love this bag, and I would love to get one in the liege leather for the reasons you mention. I wonder if it is harder to find than the box leather? Here in Oslo I can't find one and I was just in the Celine store in Rome and they told me they didn't stock any in liege leather. I have seen a few knock offs of this bag and I wouldn't know the real from some of the fakes so I would really prefer to buy it new from a store. So is it true that Celine now only (or rarely) make this bag in liege leather or would I be able to find one in a neutral color in f.ex London or Paris? Thank you so much for the great review! xx
There are some online in liege leather, although they are a little more colourful. If you want a more muted/natural colour like mine you will probably have to buy preowned or wait and see if they re-release those colours. 👍

Only negative, is I find the clasp is a bit difficult to close with one hand, other than that I really love mine! :) PS, I don't have the problem with the strap moving. Mine is soo tight it stays in one place, maybe it's different because I have the box leather..?
