just to be clear: there is no excuse for bullying
The Droid C-3PO gets bullied, punched and yelled at during Star Wars The Clone Wars (memes). Including Missions with Padme, Jar Jar Binks and Commander Wollfe. Stories from the planets Rhodia, Pantora and Ailleen mostly. C-3PO and his friend R2-D2 have rough times here beeing bullied.

Agreed, I love Ian McDiarmid as much as the next Star Wars fan, but Anthony Daniels has been reprising C3po for basically the same amount of time Ian has been doing Palpatine. Both of them have been around since Star Wars began. Legends

Even discounting the whole tall clown vs. short clown that is Protocols & Astromechs’ relationships and how they verbally and sometimes physically abuse each other, it really seems like the Force keeps 3PO around and alive just to make him suffer for our amusement, with or without an Astromech nearby to get him into trouble.

Somehow He must be helping in " The Plan, The Only Plan that matters now." He does use The Force a lot to save his life and that of his company he's with from what I've observed. Interesting Life Arc he had.

I just really dislike how almost all the characters in the Star Wars series besides maybe Rey, Obi-Wan, and Padme treated C-3PO terribly despite being one of the nicest characters in the series. I don’t count R2 because even he is a dick, and Anakin sometimes sounded like he couldn’t tolerate him sometimes even though he built him.

C-3PO's been a dick to R2 a lot as well. They're best friends, they're comfortable insulting each other because they know they don't really mean it. They bicker like an old married couple but it's clear that they still love each other.
