Yeah she might not want to though because it is a lot of work to run a company she wouldn't be able to do gigs like this as she would be busy running the company
That Jaeyoung guy, just keeps talking back, smiling, while saying sorry 😂 Judges giving him feedbacks then talks back, even I will get angry like Soyeon lol
His problem is that he agrees with the criticism and just leaves it at that. He never offers any solutions to fix what the mentors have pointed out, and that's what Soyeon hates about him.
@@me_justmeI mean vocal cords are just muscles if you train them right you can sing so it's not about talent. It's either he wasn't practicing nor paying attention to his vocal coach or he was scammed.
I don't really watch talent shows, because the first few episodes are always so embassing. I liked how she was hones here, every talent show need judges like her.
Bring more straightforward women who don't fit in that "Korean standard" of the "nice girl" because they're outspoken like this. More Jessi-like personalities because I know there are more like "not letting shit slide" women who'd made sure that the job is done. People would actually rule if they get treated seriously like this cause it'll force them to work hard. This idol life is not sweet at all so you literally have to TRAINNN to be the best that you can be...
It’s not about just being straightforward though. It’s also the way that she doesn’t just say that it’s bad but also tells them how to improve - that’s what is missing in a lot of these produce shows - they don’t actually mentor the kids properly.
I agree with you. I actually want to add just one more thing: the"nice girl" attitude is how every girl in the world, not just Korea, are being expected to act and react. A girl that being nice in circumstances that she shouldn't she will always be stepped on.
@@lamyaeputh2447Why can't you be nice and straightforward at the same time? Does modern society have a trigger for everything that is common? Being a nice and pleasant person is not a bad thing and this is not expected only from girls, and you can be nice to varying degrees, as well as being straightforward, too, here you also need to know the line and not cross the border into rudeness, kindness is not a vice
Soyeon is such an important judge in these competition reality shows. Trainees aren't going to know what they seriously need to improve on if other judges are laughing and being too kind on their critiques. Soyeon lays it out so there are no excuses in the future of a trainee being unaware of what they needed to improve on. She knows there is no room to pussyfoot around in this business. It's do or get left behind. Period. Some may call her harsh but she's just being real and stating facts without sugar coating it. That is needed to be a great judge and trainer.
Yes i agree she wouldn't have been harsh to them if the other juges had said exactly what the trainees needed to know and hear instade of laugthing along with them .
The fact that soyeon keeps telling them to reconsider other path from being a singer shows that she cares for those who lack behind. Some compete because of family or fame, but only VERY few will be selected. Not that they can never be one of a kind after practicing alot, it's just Soyeon knows how harsh the industry is. Audience voters won't even see the true talent, they vote only those they like and like is subjective. They can hate anytime they want after debut like what happened to certain groups. Instead of wasting time and money on being a trainee for 5-10 years, it's better to learn more about other industries. Soyeon kindly gives warning to those who slack off, and at the same time give those who can't catchup a choice.
hanbin improved sm just from soyeons advice. there is such a big improvement in not just his singing but also his confidence. like he looked genuinely happy to be performing. good job to him and the amazing mentor soyeon!!
soyeon getting to the root of the problem and cutting through the bullshit the other judges say is so refreshing and will *actually* benefit the contestants in the long run
For the first guy.. The moment soyeon picked the mic they knew its going to be a blast.. I truly love soyeon as an idol and more as a mentor .. The way she speaks the truth is something that is really needed. For audition programs the biased judgment because you have good visuals might take you till debuting but after that the backlash from from fans and others wont let you last long so its better to be true than just sugarcoat things.
She did such a great job with her Spaceman team!! I know Lee Hanbin had a tough time in practice, but during the performance, he stole the show! A great deep voice. I appreciate and focus on the little details like Soyeon, so I'm glad shows get to have soyeon there to impart that wisdom and specificity!
She has Yuqi in her group, that's why she knows how to work with people who have deeper voices. There's also Miyeon whose a Mezzo-Soprano,so the songs are mezzo friendly
You know it is so scary when the teacher ask if anyone want to volunteer which no one did then the teacher proceed by saying "otherwise i'll choose for you"
Nah but I feel like that Jaeyoung guy is just not taking it all seriously. Like man you are embarassing yourself stop joking😭😭 I get that maybe he is trying to turn his nervousness into laughter 'cuz I do that too, but he is taking it wayyy to far
You really need judges like her. She’s not being “mean” or “cruel” at all. I think at the end of the day she knows how hard being an idol is and she’s being helpful ultimately by being honest to the contestants to help them grow and be better. On top of that, her critiques are valid too.
You can go to any vocal teacher but if you don’t even have a bit of good voice you can’t reach too singer level like did they never hear themselves sing I feel soyeon is the best teacher honest and speak up to the point
After all her training and tough love the way her face lit up at the end after their performance shows how much those guys really improved ... thanks to her. We all need a Soyeon in our lives! She is utterly awesome.
Holy cow she did an amazing job with them She’s really talented because she had me over here, smiley ear ear for them for their final performance. They did a fantastic job.
Soyeon perfect as mentor. Experience with every aspect of song production from concept to spending many hours in composing and lyrics and recording to even being involved in choreography and MV and stage direction! She is on a level of of her own. All these contestants are lucky to be receiving feedback from her.
im obviously not a good singer, but if some of these trainees are gonna sing like THIS (especially the first one who said he trained 7 days a week for 8 hours a day for so long), im sorry but they really need to rethink their life choices, that is, unless they can improve MAJORLY.
I’m genuinely a better singer than a lot of the trainees in this show and I have to agree. However, dance skills and visuals outweigh vocal skill a lot in K-pop.
I think instead of overconfidence, it might be nervous/anxiety. It looks like he is smiling and laughing because of how nervous he is and he is speaking without thinking due to same reason... it is something that often comes of as being overconfident, insincere or not taking things seriously. (I struggle with this a lot as i have anxiety and instead of looking nervous, i tend to look happy go lucky. The way he is acting like looks similar to how i act when anxious. I may be projecting too, so im not sure) (i dont watch these kind of things usually, so if he did indeed act overconfident in any way in any other show or whatever, i wouldnt know)
@@nanashinoname9937 this is so late lol but agreeddd i saw that too i think it’s also js poor self esteem and trying to appear confident but not rly realising it comes off in bad taste. a lot of the times with poor self esteem ppl alr know the problems they have, there’s a chance that he alr knows he sucks ass but he’s alr expended so much time and energy into this career that he’s afraid of doing smth new completely. i also think he’s acting like that so the criticism doesn’t affect him too deeply sort of like a defence mechanism. i used to rly dislike him in the beginning too lol but after watching a few more clips of him it seems like there might be smth deeper undercover that most aren’t seeing :)) i hope he doesn’t get hate but i also want him to look at his career path realistically
The guy at 11:00. His constant laughter would make any judge angry. It’s like you make a mistake and instead of been serious and focus on doing better you just laugh like not taking anything seriously… :S
the one who is rapping at 16:00 the ash hair guy... he is actually a thai actor who came in supporting roles as a male lead friend or the side story couple or second lead couple or as male lead brother like that i forgot his name. he even came in bl series he did in a lot of bl dramas
ik its their dreams to be idols but i sometimes wonder if they were chosen to be embarrassed on tv 😭 like there has to be other boys who are good at singing and decent at dancing before coming onto the show right??? i just feel bad sometimes……

She is good mentor. I like soyeon attitude. She is good teacher to criticized what they did. We are not saying your vocal is bad trying to hardwork. They think about, oh my singing is good, then they didn't practice well. so she did well. 2 years of training and practice not enough to getting better. You really hard to practice well. He is like a baby attitude. I think he is not take a serious, cause he always smiling, that means he didn't understand that judges saying. Soyeon is best👍🏻
Soyeon is about to throw hand to this dude mfk think is funny and easy to being a idol and yet if he becomes an idol man won’t last long because the hate he going to get the way he are now
Istg fantasy boys just can’t match up to my teenage girl. I feel like some of them joined the survival show for fun only. My teenage girl was a huge impact and every one of them were so talented and deserved to debut. Fantasy boys just isn’t it
Watching this because of soyeon but unexpectedly stanning Hanbin... I was like "oh, He looks like Hanbin (ikon's leader)" but then he is really "Hanbin". He's so cute and manly as well.
Jung JinYoung is the nicest producer and always smile to welcome newcomer. Soyeon is a great female producer but she doesn’t hide her true feelings and dislike well. It makes the roomie more u comfortable and more nervous
