For real! Not to compare or anything but I've always been looking for the next SNSD in terms of variety humor and the closest that's been able to match their chaotic energy are Apink and Gidle. I've always kind of jumped from group to group but even after SJ’s departure (her being my bias too) I can still see myself devoted to these girls like I am to SNSD. They're just amazing.

Its not so much about the program. Its about the Idols themself. Few Idols are brave enough to show their true self in front of camera because fans will pick anything. Rare idols that are themself in Variety Shows are Mamamoo, (G)I-Dle, SNSD and a few. Mostly these kind of Idols are Strong characters. Example: Mamamoo are the group that break the mould of K-Pop in which they show you can be Successful through Talent. (G)I-Dle songs mostly refer to Society Drawbacks or Individual confidence which most Idol Group don't dare to Sing about. According to my observation, groups that depend on Visual or dance too much are mostly timid in this kind of Show or Environment. Groups that are successful because of hard work are mostly open and free in this kind of Environment.

It every much is about the program. I wouldn't generalize either. I'm pretty sure there's also a lot of groups out there that are just as outgoing and free spirited as the groups you've mentioned but the shows they've guested on choose to edit out footage that would've shown that. Meanwhile here on SAF, every guest was able to show a different side of theirs, because the staff and the host were not only able to draw those out but also showcase them.

Tbh i think its way more fulfilling and fun than being average office workers lol

I remember when I first got into kpop in 2016, there was already a well-known variety show that used this concept, called Lifebar (인생술집), which is simply the hosts drinking and chatting with guests (Heechul had been one of the hosts from season 2 to the last season which ended 2019). In the past, TV stations were stricter, so this kind of drinking broadcast program was new at that time, this is probably the first official drinking interview show on TV. Since then, other shows with this drinking concept have appeared in Korea. Youngji's show has a fresh element of hosting the show at her house, but drinking shows have been around for a while.
