She’s not harsh!! She gave honest feedback to all of them and she praised the performers who were actually good. She’s the one we need in this industry otherwise we will keep on having K-pop bands with just visuals and zero talent and these boys think if they look pretty or handsome they’re going to become an amazing artist but soyeon is literally bringing them down to earth.
@@friya196 After i actually watch the show im so shocked and pissed because half of these guys are so obnoxious despite having no talent in singing like i stopped watching altogether after they all get to perform everyone sounds almost the same i guess it's autotune 🙃
They're portraying her as a Simon Cowell in the beginning (harsh) but her comments are on point. She's got the experience, and the knowledge, to help people improve, and it's much needed. Mediocrity should not be praised.
Her and Simon are completely different. Simon tries to be funny, he roasts, whereas Soyeon pin points the problem and even provides tips. With Simon's comment, contestants will be ashamed and their morals will be down, but Soyeon's comment will help the contestants grow
She's doing them a HUGE favor by being honest. Being nice and nodding to bad performance will only waste their efforts while also taking the chance away form someone who deserves it more.
Soyeon has worked so hard to get where she is. It has to be almost insulting to see people not give their best or have done just as much work and haven’t gotten anywhere.
Ever since i started stanning gidle 2-3 yrs ago, the reason I loved Soyeon so much was because of her bluntness because sometimes, it really helps to hear things straight up and not sugarcoated
Thank god Soyeon is here. To survive in any industry, you need to receive constructive feedback and that's what Soyeon did. The other judges need to stop sugar coating everything.
I think you can tell her character by how humble she was when meeting her co producers. She is a just judge and they keep talking back to them, that is quite disrespectful, isn't it?
@freaksssss In normal circumstances, of course, but in this context is highly disrespectful to talk back to your Seonbaenims (Who are elders / more experienced artists) Korean culture is very strict regarding that and they are judges telling them about their mistakes. I hope my point comes across right c:
Soyeon was perhaps the only one taking her job seriously. Everyone else seems to just be protecting their own images. And Wooyoung in particular was kinda pissing me off by joking about Soyeon being angry instead of taking it seriously.
2 years vocal training was wasted! If I am his teacher, I will frustated. I teach math to my wife when she went to college in private because she weak in math, she cried 😂😂😂 But at the end she can solved simple calculus.
Shallow koreans called her ugly and ignored her talent so she knows whats it's like to be suppressed because you don't fit their toxic beauty standards. All the talentless 4th generation idols need to go.
Indeed, the results were fairly based on nepotism and good looks. I couldn't believe the elimination of jiwoo and Chanelle, and now Youngseo's departure from the grp. I don't see any potential to stan them now, sorry that was just my opinion.
@@mohitmittal5717totally agree ,like after chanelle left, they lost not only an induvidual with loads of talent but a huge fan base And honestly now I don't even want to invest my time in them
Would love to see her with Lisa. Those 2 as mentors...they could truly give good tips for the future idols. Maybe Baekhyun as a vocal mentor...cause that men CAN SANG. I think those 3 idols could do the job really good.
I also want to add Chen in the list since he can give good tips on how to belt notes and then continue dancing without any difficulty which is good since doing both things at the same time is tiring.
Lisa cant give advice for shit lmaooooo soyeon always says that rappers should write their raps. She cant even do that and yet will evaluate people??? While not doing the basics herself xD
@@narisys didn’t he used to help some NCT members when they were trainees? Chen def would be great mentor material, Baek is too much chaotic I can’t picture him like that lol
@@biazacha Yes by giving good tips since Exo always visit their junior and help them. For Baekhyun he’s playful and strict which is great since he can help to ease trainee so they can feel comfortable with them but he can give good feedback since he’s know his role as mentor not to mention even vocal teacher mention him as one of their fav students alongside Chen.
I find the titles of these funny, she’s in no way harsh, angry, or mean. She’s honest, professional, and blunt when needed, especially to those who aren’t taking the profession seriously. That first guy was a joke and annoying, who in the world cracks their voice on purpose and calls it art. No one sane, and she had to be blunt with him since the others were, as she said, being too nice, and in a nutshell beating around the bush, because that guys elevator did not reach to the top floor and he just was not getting it. That is required in this field, especially those who have deluded themselves that they are qualified to be there. I think she is a perfect judge for any of these shows, as time and time she has proven to be. She leads them to progress, she finds gems that others look over, builds the confidence of those lacking, only for them to shine as the brightest of the bunch. She is not only a professional, but a professional finder. She has a great ear and an even better eye for talent. Why they are labeling her as being harsh and angry like Simon Cowell…obviously it’s for clickbait. But it’s really an amazing thing to see her at work and I will continue to watch them regardless of what the title is.
Soyeon looks amazing, but it's sad to see how different the stylist dressed her vs guys, she's barely naked, feels very uncomfortable.. women don't have to be SO exposed :(
I wish Soyeon was allowed to honest in this whole show, not just to the contestants but to the audience. - Tell the audience that when someone actually has talent (like the super good rapper and dancer who got brushed aside despite everyone on staff saying they were the best), they should vote for them rather than voting for people you picked in episode 1 based on their handsome face. - She should have also been allowed to tell the contestants who didn't win this popularity contest (because that's what it was) that they shouldn't focus on winning and focus on using this opportunity to improve instead. View the show as a stepping stone rather than a lose/win, just like she did with PD101. I stopped watching the show 7 episodes in when it became abundantly clear that talent, hard work, and a great performance didn't matter. It was only about the face and standing out. They could have skipped all the performances and the results would have been the same.
She did something similar to this on another show. these two girls had a bad performance, but the audience voted for them because they found the girls funny and cute. Then Soyeon called out the audience for voting for the girls just because they were cute, meanwhile, the performances before them had more talent, yet the audience didn't vote for them. And she told the audience to take more responsibility for their votes considering people work really hard to train to be an idol. We definitely need more judges like soyeon!
I think if he didn’t have cracks in his voice it wasn’t that bad. Must’ve been unlucky to have that happen in his vocals. I honestly would’ve let him audition again. But maybe next year or whenever they do this again unless he isn’t eliminated.
This kind of mentor that contest need, straight forward, no filter and honest , To emprove and to motivate them to practice and train more...not a sweet talker and bias to a contestant even they got mistake.... Anyway this my favorite mentor now.. 1 Lisa 2 Seoyeon 3Jhope 4 mike song 5 monika
Idk about them but I'd be freaking terrified having to perform in front of THEM. Especially Wooyoung, Changmin and Soyeon. It would be like resolving a simple equation like "2+x=1" and asking Einstein to correct my mistakes. I'd feel so small in front of these legends.
People debuting with less than 2 years of training, more looks than skills, vocals getting weaker and weaker…. I wonder what 2nd and 3rd Gen idols think looking at the caliber of current trainees.
The one who failed and don't get picked at all pls don't be sad cuz yall at least shown bravery and somehow make me laugh🤣 and that's a good thing moreover you can always improve yourself actually. First thing first let's be humble.
The first dude, isn't he in the first season too?? He got criticized for his way of replies and not being serious enough. Now I have a doubt that Program is putting this guy here on purpose to hype it and make some tension
hmm.. I don know everyone but by order of appearance, here goes: Soyeon = (G)I-dle Wooyoung = 2PM Seungyoon = I don't know Jinyoung = B1A4 MC/host CHangmin = TVXQ hope that helps you a bit 😊
