Soviet Mammoth Tank from RA was perhaps the best out of all of them-totally murders infantry. Not to mention the music in this game was just plain AWESOME.
BEST GAME EVERRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR Paratroopers, atom bomb, lol this was a great game, better than anything they do today. BOOM ATOM BOMB ! all enemy power plant KABOOM ! then you know they can't shot atom bomb against you cause they have no POWER !!!!!!!!!! put 5 tesla coil and you got the best defense ever !!!!!!!!! rank up your paratroopers and they are UNSTOPPABLE !!!!! send TANYA in there to blow their base and war factory !!!!!!!!!!!!! send an engineer in a chopper to conquer their base HAHA ! or conquer their war factory and start training Mamoth tanks in it !!!!!!!!!!! Build an arsenal of 10 air planets and destroy their base ! I played this game 20 years ago and it's still so fresh in my mind. oh and of course when you almost lose the game, send soldiers around the map to find them little cubes so you can get a new base !!!!!!!!!!!!!!
@csnation You mean that giant rocket at 2:25? That's the rocket that launches the GPS Satellite into orbit. Only the allies get it. It gets rid of all the shroud and creates free, un-powerd radar.
After my opinion... Red Alert 1 Command and Conquer was the best, EA destroyed it. Westwood made the best strategy game of all time.. Red Alert 1 Command and Conquer. Played it as a kid, when I was 7 years old, now when I am 17 years old... I still play it. Good times. Good times. Good times.
They're more like Tactical Weapons, designed to be a supportive weapon to weaken enemies, now superweapons are just there to strike fear into the enemies' hearts and basically ruin an entire base. Making Superweapons something you want but don't want at the same time.
@R33Racer I think it was actually in one of the missions in the game where it said to infiltrate a sub pen with a spy when you were using the allied side. That's when i found out.
So, I never really played the original Red Alert much. If they had the Chronosphere in that game, why do act like it's such a big deal when Einstein reveals it in the second game?
Surprised Tesla Coils weren't considered superweapons, I used to build as many as possible around my base with tanks to defend them and all my power stations in the dead centre, nothing could come close.
The Atom Bomb wasn't very good in Multiplayer. I remember having it luached against me in the Allies campaign and it was just as powerful as the C&C one with the screen going white and everything.
hey, it's 9 years late but here's a reply: after using multiple times the chronosphere it randomly spawned that weird ball that shoot lightning, I think it was some sort of space and time distortion
Question has anyone ever used chronosohere on a mcv and then deployed it? What would happen? I mean if you use chrono shift the unit always returns after some time, so what happens? I tried googling it but it found nothing.
@OldSkoolgamerz Cruisers, Missle Sub-Marines, & Mammoth Tanks are for noobs. (Not really the Missle Sub-Marines because they're the only water to ground water vehicle the soviets have.)
+mobcat40 No, Command & Conquer was a better game in it's own right. No limit on tank, vehicle or infantry units, kick ass super weapons, and an in depth story that kept you on the edge of your seat. I loved the original Red Alert and Tiberian Dawn.
