@@KajiTetsushi since the river is highly poisonous with tiberium this was GDI's way of trying to keep their troops safe while exploring it, think of it as bio hazard suits

@@x-Lilith-x I'd like to think that there's some creative liberties done over there. Because aside from the Liquid Tiberium Bomb from Tiberium Wars or various "hero" characters wielding personal Tiberium rifles in Renegade, GDI and Tiberium weapons are canonically never seen together on-screen or in-game.

@@KajiTetsushi very much creative liberties, for me it made sense for GDI to have infantry in bio suits around the tiber river rather than the regular exposed infantry. Plus its the only time you ever see them, the infantry in their base is normal
