The CC Skywave SSB is a fantastic, multi-band portable radio with AM FM AIR Weather & Shortwave Single Side Band to keep you in touch with the World. All packed in a very compact package that can easily be taken anywhere. Battery life is fantastic, and headphone use is ideal. In this video I run the Skywave SSB through the medium wave band during the daytime hours searching out those faint stations.

Hej so true todderbert doing such a good job suggests radio devices that I have not heard of before that are very good. And it feels very good to have someone like todderbert who suggests good radios to buy because it's a jungle out there. I bought some radios thanks to todderbert's recommendations, and I'm very happy with my radio devices he has tested. Take care have a nice week and be safe out there.

You’re not the only one. I watch Todderbert all the time and almost every day. If I wasn’t on a fixed income I would certainly try to support this channel. This channel has certainly helped me make decisions on my choices of what I like versus what’s available, even flashlights. I usually watch on my new large screen TV.

This is my second favorite [ modern] radio, directly behind my Tecsun PL-880. My 3d, back just a ways, XHData D-808, then PL-660. I just really like this radio. It’s not cheap, but I thin the quality, and the reputation of C.Crane. ( I don’t have the Eton yet, but I just ordered the Kaito KA-1103). Cool video. 📻🙂

@@flyboy6258 Will be my next [ and final] radio in this category. Then I will have them ALL.🤣❗️ For a number of years , I really hadn’t heard much of anything about any of the Eton portable radios, so I had pretty much disregarded them. But this past year or so, I’ve heard a lot of praises for this radio, so, since I’ve just ordered a Kaito KA-1103, the Eton will be next on the list. 📻🙂

@@jeffking291 When I bought my Eton from Universal Radio Inc last year, they included a FREE Eton Mini! A great deal. Sadly they have since gone out of business.

@@flyboy6258 Yes. I dealt with them before, and was planning to buy some more from them. I bought a Grundig Satellite [ as a very special gift for a friend], and got a free G-6” Buzz Aldrin “. I also bought a a Kaito KA-1107, and a WRX-911 - and a couple of AM/FM pocket radios. This was just over 10 years ago. They [ and all their cats] will be missed. 📻😐

When you showed this radio in conjunction with your review of the Horologe HXT-201, -what does the Air band mean?- Ah, the air band must be the aviation band.

The band of frequencies that host conversations between pilots and ground control. Also on rare occasions you can hear pilot to pilot chatter.

SSB capability aside, how does this radio compare to the Radiwow R-108 generally?

I like the AA battery capacity the Skywave provides, 70 plus hours...the BL-5C in the Radiwow doesn't last very long, under twenty hours per charge.

I see many of your review titles include 'MW' What does MW stand for? In another review you clipped something to the antenna for SW reception? Do you have a how-to video for SW reception? Thanks!

Medium Wave is part of the AM band. It is the broadcast frequencies from 520kHz-1700kHz. We normally call it AM in the US. Shortwave is part of the AM band along with Longwave.

Hej thanks for the video and I really liked the video you made with the classic GE 7-2840B great radio and it seems to perform very well. Tecsun is working hard they have released a new emergency radio GR-99 very interesting. And oh yes finally Katio Ka 390 arrived today so nice it is like the fixed handle and, Katio KA 345 arrives on friday so I'm a very happy camper take care.

@@todderbert Hej Todderbert yes it looks so nice but difficult to get it delivered to sweden but I succeeded so happy for that. And the radios I order to Sweden from Amazon eBay or on other websites becomes, more expensive have to pay shipping and sometimes customs fee. But hey me radio crazy and have a friend that say to me have you bought a new radio again? I'm just laughing. Take care have nice day be safe out there.

@@todderbert Hej oh yes i will and is lying on the couch right now listening to the radio right now. The radio right now that is on is Tecsun GR-168 I will order the Tecsun PL 330 from anon-co but see that it is out of stock right now take care.
