I admire this man’s conviction. I love the story about his braids and everything they stand for. He is so right about people when he walks into a room. A couple of years ago, I was sitting in a restaurant in KS for my Birthday with my family. As always I take the seat facing the door because I always want to see what’s coming. He walked in to pick up an order he had called in. I literally couldn’t take my eyes off of him. At the time I knew he seemed familiar and I said to my sister, Happy Birthday to me! She told me his name and that he is on Yellowstone. Then I realized where I had seen him. He is truly a presence. You don’t expect to see an actor walk into a tiny town in KS restaurant. I love hearing him in interviews. He’s so informative and grounded.

God placed these tribal people as stewards of the land. If they had been left to take care of the land, Iron Eyes Cody would not have been shedding tears because of the pollution of our land. When I was working at Chris Cox's dude ranch in Wyoming, A couple of chef's from Taylor Sheridan's outfit came and cooked for us. It was good to see Rex Peterson training the crew to drive wagon's. Some of the wranglers come from the same area of California. Mo does bring Plenty wisdom, integrity, character. He is of great value to all of us.

Shared values bridge the gap between skin color and cultures. To find a purpose in life, a way to contribute is more important than individual success.

Back in 1970 I went to the Navajo Tribal Fair in Window Rock NM. Friends that were 'mixed tribes' were not accepted by the 'pure tribe' people. Prejudice exists within the Native American community. Appreciate Mo's take on how it seems like the Tribes get along but throw in a fight over Casino rights, all this goes right under the bus...I love this interview.

When you read books like “My Life as an Indian”, or “Sitting Bull, Champion of the Sioux” you’ll get a decent account of what life was like from sympathizers that were accepted by the Blackfoot and Lakota. Matriarchal leadership is not like the modern day feminism, men were leaders and did in fact fight with other tribes.

I understand trying to bring a different perspective but to pretend "we didn't kill each other before..." is disingenuous. The whole "noble savage" has been proven wrong a long time ago.
