I exported the csv tag file to my computer, then I imported the values to the hmi database. Happy that everything seemed to be going so well, I reviewed the hmi tag database. All the physical discrete I/O tags were missing. All the bit, timer info was there, but no inputs or outputs. Curious, I opened the csv file, and the tags were in the file. I’m puzzled as to why the import did not copy those? Any ideas? Thank you, Ray Marsh
Hello I am currently getting a PLC communication timeout fault. I have not been able to fine and videos on how to properly make the tags to communicate the PLC to the Cmore.
@colemanhill4194 It is best if you contact our Free, Award-winning tech support and let them walk through the issues you are experiencing. You can find their contact info with multiple avenues to connect with them on our webpage here: support.automationdirect.com/
Hello, I really enjoyed your video that was very instructive for me. I just have an issue on running the simulation. I really do not know what I am missing. Your video resumed without showing how the simulation is running. I have a Micrologix 1100 and 1400. Would you be able to add to this tutorial video the full demo? Regards!
@@automationdirect Thanks for getting back to me. I really appreciated it. The issue is that the simulation model is not communicating with the PLC. I tried with the Emulator and the PLC. None of them is not sending the signal to the PLC. That's the reason, I have requested a full video where I can see the simulation working.
In this video, you have a full simulation between Indusoft and RsLogix500. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-VnRvITHUR3g.html I want to do something similar with C-More. A full working system in simulation.
In this video, I used Maple Systems HMI to simulate the systems. But with C-more, It's not working. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-Uxu4baVDBtA.html
Dan, I see your issue. The C-more simulator does not support communications. It is only designed for testing of screen navigation and and other internal features.
Hello I created a new project on Micrologix and made the symbols fallowed the instruction to create CSV but when i import it on C-more i get error below: " Error GUI-185 : Import File is already opened or corrupted. Please check the file and import again. " I am using microlgixLite to communicate with micrologix1000 over RS232 . PLEASE LET ME KNOW IF YOU CAN HELP
Liban, I have not seen this error before. I would advise that you call Tech Support. 1-800-633-0405. They will be able to help you navigate the issue. Thanks
Can the C-more hmi software communicate to EMU-500 ( Rslogix 500 emulate) as if it were a real plc. ie. you can build and test screens without having access to a physical PLC system? If I’m not mistaken EMU-500 uses a virtual “DH485” driver that points back to your PC.
Thanks for the comment. The C-more software simulator does not enable communication. Now if you do you a physical C-more and the EMU-500 ( Rslogix 500 emulate) does enable the PC to work as a plc encapsulating the com port, this can be possible. I caution you we have not tested this internally.
Hello, I see that through these HMI I can communicate a particular PLC5 I have a PLC5 / 30, is it possible to establish communication through the ch0 port which is RS232 serial?
Daniel, the C-more can connect to Ch0 using DF1 REs2332C, with use of a EA-PLC5-232-CBL. Please see page 6-22 of the C-more user manual here: cdn.automationdirect.com/static/manuals/ea9userm/ea9userm.pdf
Natan from our engineering team "To clarify, this answer is only for RSLogix500 using it with the MicroLogix or SLC PLCs. The answer would be different for RSLogix5000… The answer is: C-more will use either one. I created 2 addresses: B3:0/0 and B3:0/1. I added a “Symbol” for B3:0/0. Symbols will NOT allow a space in the RSLogix500 software. I added a “Description” for B3:0/1. I put a space in it. C-more will add an underscore when there are spaces but it will import them."
Solrak, I am unfamiliar with the EMU-500. If this device accepts Modbus or Ethernet/IP as a communication option then it would be possible. You can see the full list of communication protocols for the C-more here: www.automationdirect.com/adc/overview/catalog/hmi_(human_machine_interface)/c-more_touch_panels_ea9_series
@Jesus, thanks for the comment. The C-more platform is a hardware based platform. The HMI software cannot run virtually on a PC. You can simulate, your project prior to deploying, but it will not have communication with your field devices.
Thank for the comment Rose. I am assuming that you have an Rs500 Controller. If you do and have access to the PLC project, go under channel configuration, and look under channel 1 or 2, depending on your controller. If you need more help, search RU-vid for how to set your IP address for your PLC. Loads of videos on this. Hope that helps. ;)
Gracias por el comentario. Actualmente no tenemos un video que muestre el uso de ascii en una receta. Lo agregaré al video de recetas que viene. Aconsejaría llamar al Soporte técnico si necesita ayuda con este tema. 1-800-633-0405
