Having hobnobbed with some of Tinseltown's best and brightest throughout his illustrious career, the star revealed a few behind-the-scenes tales for Hollywood-lore junkies.
I met this man and I’m an actor as well, asked him for advice and went into so much depth and took his time with me. What a great man, so happy for all his success.
He was also the only kid who did his own bike stunts in E.T. Everyone else had stunt doubles, except him, because his dad was in that industry- his dad taught him everything he needed to know. This fun fact just makes me appreciate C. Thomas Howell as an actor even more- seriously underrated 😩
@@SJ-gc8mwhe's doing it to get real work. Might have his eye on a western. Hard to hold it against him. Has the accent down better thsn Pacino had his chicano down for SF.
He’s really become like a character in a western flick….he even kind of has that cowboy accent, it’s like he knows it and embraces it I actually dig that hat
He signed my outsiders book at a golf tournament in Tahoe! Signed it stay gold ponyboy. I said thank you Mr Howell. And he put his fist in the air and said I’m a greaser man. Awesome guy!!!
I don't think people realize just how iconic C Thomas Howell is. I mean i always knew it, but today i learned he has a film with Elozabeth Taylor, then i watched this interview and was mind blown at his stories about his father!!!! Now that is how you raise on of the finest actors of modern day Hollywood!!!!
Great character. The Outsiders will always be in my heart. It transcends generations and will continue to do so. My son beautiful is like Pony Boy. Soulful, wistful and true. Stay Gold folks.x
He and I used to live in the same town. I ran into him in a Japanese restaurant 15 years ago. He was still the pony boy back then. If he shaves his facial hair and put some facial creams he will look his age, I am sure.
For that role, C Thomas would have been good for Back to the Future. He would have been better than Stoltz. But I must say that for that role, Michael J Fox just fit it best.
I will always think of C. Thomas Howell as Lt. Tom Chamberlain in Gettysburg + Gods and Generals - maybe it was the prominent Victorian moustache or maybe it's because I haven't really seen his other films but that is always how I picture him.
OMG! Me and my cousin used to have such a huge a crush on C. Thomas Howell back in the 80s and 90s. He used to look so innocent, cute and hot back in the day. I love him from The Outsiders, The Hitcher movies, etc. I love all the outsiders actors. All the cast were are good looking. The "outsider" is classic and timeless that you can watch all the time and not get sick of it. I have to admit (C. Thomas Howell ) aged horribly for only being 54. He looks super old like over 75-80 years of ages in here.
He had a lot of health problems after the 80’s and 90’s and it nearly killed him al that can make you look a lot older than you are so maybe stop judging
@@jackiegonzales6610 Oh well, I'm just speaking my truth. No hate, No shade and No judging here. I'm 46 but every person that I meet always shock and told me that I looks in my early 20s when I reveal my real ages. I really wish (C. Thomas Howell ) looks super young like me.
C Thomas Howell makes good movies I like him in The Hither The Out Sider and Soul man I am trying to think of his other movies but he is a dern good Actor Stay Gold Pony Boy
Ummmm, ok, this guy is the true wolverine! My new favorite of the brat pack, even though I’m not quite sure if he was in the pack. Either way, he’s number one in my book!
It's not what I would call a Southern accent. It's more of a rural/cowboy accent. I went to school in San Diego in the 1970s and a lot of guys had accents like this even though they were local. His childhood was spent around cowboys and his father, a rodeo performer. Maybe some of them had the accent.
And judging from a full-frontal nude scene he has in the "Obliterated" series, he needs to put it somewhere else. Hats off (and everything else) to him though, for refusing to use a prosthetic penis and insisting on showing us the real thing.
Give the man a break. He had a ruptured appendix and had to have life saving surgery and in return it caused him health issues. Why must you be rude and comment on someone’s looks?
@@spumoni9713 right! And fact that the commenter thinks he should look good for people when he's an AGING, WORKING, man? The delusion🙄 His personality really makes him look beautiful-
@@Tashitoohot we all are going to age and heaven forbid this person or someone they love gets a rude comment said like that. People who are rude for no reason do it to make themselves feel better and that is just sad. There is enough negativity in the world and people like that keep it flowing. I am sure Thomas C. Howell does not give a crap but its not the point. No reason at all to say something so rude. What goes around comes around....
