Christians applied the title "MHMD" to Jesus, while Jews applied it to their Exilarchs. The Umayyads were quite obviously Christians, going by the coins they minted. in the 7th century muslims believed in the Cross... There are many things like that. E.g. Muhyiddin Arabi writes Umar and Ali believed Isaac was the intended sacrifice. Many evidences show that muslim beliefs evolved in time. Perhaps that stems from hadith literature fabricated later.

I think Muawiya's biography is easily available from various sources. It may be his years of service in Umar's time or Uthman's time. I'm not sure about that. Umayyads moved real places of Mecca and Taif cities yet didn't bother to conceal clues that old Mekka was of a different climate than that of today's Mekka. I also remember a narration in Bukhari that on the inner surfaces of Kaba's bricks were scripts in aramaic. Aramaic was spoken in northern parts of the peninsula.
I've been saying for many years that Muhammadanism is a very modern religion in terms of its creation because I knew that Muhammadanpagans were trying to make their religion appear far older and more continuous.

Amazing to get this clear summary and presentation! My question is, what is the source or inspiration for all the stories about mohammed in the Hadith’s. I mean they are so elaborate with many quotations etc as well as being so fantastical that’s it hard to imagine someone made up such bizarre stories… are they based on some other ruler at the time?
I’ve always thought that if you can find a Caliph or line of Caliphs that each had some thing related to some Hadith stories, then you’ll find who created Islam. It seems to me that Mohammed’s behaviour in the Hadith was there to justify the behaviour of whoever ordered it be written.

One thing wrong with Jay Smith is that when it comes to the name of Prophet Muhammad pbuh in Arabic, he startled. He read MHMD as Mahmad but read all the Arabic words correctly. Or if he can't read, he has no objection to the Arabic reading of all the words in the Qur'an in their correct forms, except for 'MUHAMMAD' which he can't read correctly but startled by reading as 'MAHMAD', when in fact they are all the same with no diacritical markings at all. If that is the case, when he read ARAB, he should read it ARB, or ARABA. MASIH (MSH) as MaSaHa or MaSaH. Whatever 'Muhammad' means, it befits Prophet Muhammad pbuh. -09-09-24

Why has no one opened the tomb to see who is there, or do any forensic research on any body they claim is there? It's simple to make a claim if you know that no one will query what you claim.
How do we know that anyone or anything is in that tomb? Perhaps it contains a woman, or a jackal, or nothing at all. The Saudis won't allow scientific investigation of the tomb. And even if a man is buried there, how could we "prove" it is Muhammad? It is not like we have a sample of his DNA. There are people in the UK who assert that they know where King Arthur's grave is. Even if they show us a grave, that is no proof that Arthur existed, or that he is buried in that grave.

Anti-Trinitarianism has been popular since the 4th century. Arian was an anti-Trinitarian, so are the Jehovah Witnesses today, so it has been around for most of the past 2,000 years. The Arabic for that would have been 'Al-sanaa qada al-Hagareen' ... that is the 'year according to the Hagarenes'. That became mistakenly read as 'HGR' or 'hejira' ... the migration. The Arabs then called it the 'Year ACCORDING TO the BELIEVERS' ... AL-SANAA QADA AL-MUMENEEN. At this early stage, Islam did not exist. I don't think the Ummayads were christians. Europe has a direct experience with the Ummayads. The Ummayads conquered most of Spain and almost conquered France. Spain and France called this invaders as Muslims, not Christians.
Ummayads only took control of Andalusia from the Moorish armies from 756 under Abd al-Rahman I. Abd Al Rahman was born in 731/732 and spent 24 years of his life growing up as a "Muslim" in Damascus and the Levant (he more than likely knew John of Damascus). His grandfather was Abdul Malik. Abd al-Rahman escaped the Abbasid Revolution in the 750s and attempted assasination by evading through swamps and secretly concealing himself (according to the Muslim.sources).
