The Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) On-Site Consultation Program is a no-cost service that operates in all U.S. states where consultants visit work sites at employers’ requests to identify hazards, help develop and maintain effective health and safety programs, and provide training. Consultants are independent of OSHA enforcement activities and will not report hazards or issue citations.
In this webinar attendees will learn how small and mid-sized institutions can best use the services that OSHA provides through this program. Two museums who hosted consultants will also talk about their experiences and how they used their time spent with the consultants to make their workplaces safer for the objects and employees they work with.

Anne Bracker, Manager, Connecticut On-site Consultation Program
Anne Bracker is the program manager for CONN-OSHA’s private sector on-site consultation program. In this capacity she and her team help managers and workers identify and control workplace hazards and prevent work-related injuries, illnesses and fatalities. Before joining CONN-OSHA Ms. Bracker worked for the Division of Occupational and Environmental Medicine at UCONN Health in Farmington, CT and for Federal OSHA in Hartford, CT. Ms. Bracker has been certified in the Comprehensive Practice of Industrial Hygiene since 1991.
Savita Trivedi, Industrial Hygienist, Connecticut On-site Consultation Program
Savita Trivedi is an Industrial Hygienist with the Connecticut Labor Department’s Division of Occupation Safety & Health, where she has worked for over 25 years helping employers address safety and health hazards in the workplace. She has been working with AIHA’s Museum & Cultural Heritage Industry Working Group as a consultation program representative. She is a Certified Industrial Hygienist, Certified Safety Professional, and holds a B.S. degree in Chemical Engineering from the University of Connecticut and an M.S. degree in Industrial Hygiene from the University of New Haven.
Christina Dillard, Environmental Health and Safety Manager, Museum of Science, Boston, MA
Christina Dillard has served as the Environmental, Health & Safety (EH&S) Manager at the Museum of Science in Boston Massachusetts for the past 7 years. For over 20 years she has been dedicated to ensuring safety is an integral and important part of science and science education. She truly enjoys ensuring the delivery of high-quality and engaging science education that brings the Wow without the Ow! Sarah Adams Curator of Collections from the Springfield Art Assn in Illinois
Sarah Adams bio: Sarah Adams is the Curator of Collections and Interpretation at the Springfield Art Association in Springfield, IL. She holds a B.A. in Religious Studies from Western Illinois University and an M.A. in Museum Studies from the University of Kansas. She has worked in the museum field since 2012 with a focus on history and anthropology collections.
