Did you leave the factory welded nuts for the original shocks on the lower control arm? I see you drilled from the bottom, but can't see if you left the welded nuts on and bolted the coil over on top of those.
Do you honestly think those out of proportion super large wheels with the painted on tires look good? I've tried to figure out over the past few years what guys see to make them like that look. I've got a '69 427/435 and have owned it for 52 years. It's got the 15" wheels with 60 series BFG Radial T/A tires and I'm on my fourth set. When I look at those LARGE wheels and see almost no sidewall cushion, it's scary. Do you live in a State where there are no bumps or potholes? In the Bay Area, where there are more potholes than smooth road, my wheel repair bill would be in the six figure category per year. So, the look....to me.....is ridiculous and the practicality is just as lame. Of course, the car will probably corner better if you're on the race track and it's set up for competition but driving safely on public roads where there are other people just seems out of touch. What I'm asking is if....YOU....honestly like the look of the LARGE WHEELS and super low profile tires and if so, why?? Also, does the fact that there is only an inch or so between your tire tread and your wheel rim concern you?
