Hi I am struggling to convert my grid material to redshift in the render view it just shows up as bright green rather than the retro grid i had before using redshift?
It depends on how your grid texture is setup in the default material. This material converter is not a perfect solution. It will not automatically setup a RS material exactly like a standard material. It just transfers over texture maps and basic settings into a RS material then you have to tweak it accordingly.
Thanks. Helpful.. unfortunately, it seems like this doesn’t work for correctly for materials with displacement maps... After conversion the mapping is different and tweaking displacement settings in the shader graph doesn’t reflect the intended look of the original material. Seems like redshift may only be useful if starting a scene from scratch.
This utility is really only to transfer over the basic maps into your RS material. After that you have to manually set up the materials. It's not a perfect 1 to 1 conversion. Not yet at least.
