Is that the know that came with shifter? Recently bought a c5 zo6 it has this shifter nob,,guessing it's the shifter you just installed...I hate it..wondering if it was installed wrong or is there adjustments I can do? It's very clunky hard to find gears..been driving manual trans for 40 years so yes I know how to use one...thanks for any Input..I've read it's the best shifter to be had..why I was wondering if mine was maybe installed wrong...

Yes that’s one of the knob options you could get with the shifter. I definitely know what you mean about the shifter feel. It’s extremely notchy. We’ve gotten used to it but I could see how someone could not like it.

Hey man I just bought my C5 and its short throw shifter is EXTREMELY tight, to the point that you cant even wiggle it in neutral... I am reading around how to loosen it and it seems you need to loosen a bolt and or lube up some things... I've been watching the install process and seeing how things work and I can't see anywhere that I would loosen a bolt, or even lube up for that matter. So I am very confused on how I can loosen up my shifter, it is absolutely brutal. Praying for a response, thanks man

Dang! I'm not sure about that one to be completely honest, we didn't have to adjust anything on ours. Like you said, not sure there was anything there to adjust. Ours is pretty tight as well, you can wiggle it in neutral but its stiff. Sorry I can't help more!
