The Loew Cornell Fine Paint Pen makes rock chip touch up an easy process. The fine point makes it simple to get the touch up paint in the rock chip instead of on the paint. Use your choice of touch up paint, along with the Loew Cornell Fine Paint Pen and make the rock chips disappear.

The price on Amazon fluctuates drastically. Put it in your watch list and wait until the price drops back down under $10, unless you really need it sooner. Thanks for watching.

The pen makes it easy for sure. Gets the paint where you need it and not a big blotch of it. You'll like the end result.

Dip that q-tip in a cap full of laquer thinner and you can use that pen more than once!

I didn't have any so just don't let it sit too long and clean it right away. Used it a bunch of times this way, but lacquer thinner will definitely help.

Xpel will certainly protect that nice shiny yellow GS so you don't have to worry about any further rock chips. You bringing it to Carlisle this year?

@@YellowVette04 Probably not. I am going to be there though!! Actually, it's a Z06. I keep planning to do a full video of it but weather, time and the guys that I'm filming with have made it tough to get it done. Probably just going to make something quick.

Have you tried that pen with a metallic color. Non- metallic paint is much easier to deal with. Mine is Jetstream Blue tint coat wholly shit it's no fun. But I like the pen idea. Thanks

Did you polish it after touching it up? If so, did you wet sand it, compound or just use polish?

Definitely case by case but all I did was polish afterwards. If more severe, wet sand would need to be done. This helps keep the touch up where it's needed and easy to control how much.

You wouldn’t happen to have any pictures of before and after? I’ve got about couple dozen chips I need to fix and I’m wondering how well you can tell afterwards.

I don't but it's hard to tell. If you knew where to look, then you'd see it but otherwise you'd pass right over it.

Great video! I would like to do this with mine. Same color. I see the ad for the touch up paint calls for clear coat. Did you use clear coat and do feel it's not needed?

I didn't add clear. If it was anything more than a chip, I would add clear. With the chip, you can hardly notice the touch up unless you know where to look. There will be different opinions on that tho lol.

What about the clearcoat? did you use same procedure after basecoat was dry?

It can. I didn't bc it was scarce except for on the mirrors. If the damage was worse than these fine chips, I would have used clear. You can barely notice the touch ups, even when you know where to look.

I did one chip to test this weekend with same paint and color was off. I wet sanded , clear coated and wet sanded and then buffed it turn out great nice shine but color clearly off

That's weird because mine is pretty close. Maybe sun fade over the last 15+ years. Sorry to hear that though

YellowVette04 no worries. I just did a very small chip looks much better. Not sure why it was off. My vette is 03 with 60,000 garage kept and covered whenever not in use. I don't even like a spec of dust on it. 😀 as for first chip mystery I guess Shook it up well, cleaned etc.. It's not terrible but could be better. I appreciate your video.
