I’ve had a LT3 HTC for a month. The rear cross traffic warning already prevented an accident backing out of my drive which has a street intersection to my right. Even with camera mirror, there is a serious blind spot to the right rear. I’ve been driving for 70 years and well understand old school driving. That said, I’ve never owned a car with such a bad blind spot. That said this is a wonderful drive and Chevy should be rightfully proud.
You are 100% correct. The blind spot in this car is massive. It’s crazy. And like you, it’s great to have when backing out of your driveway. Definitely a big help for me.
Can’t go wrong with the 3LT. I kinda regret going 2LT because I couldn’t get the yellow stitching but I was at my cutoff price at the 2LT unfortunately.
I ended up getting a 1LT so I could get a HTC and Z51. The 1LT is more than enough for me the only thing I missed was the heads up display and the garage door opener button on the sun visor.
@@Phuong_Nguyen_ HTC is a hard top convertible, 1 Lt stereo is great. It’s all BOSE. For me the convertible looks more exotic with the top up or down. The drawback is you can’t see the engine. But engine isn’t much to look at stock.
@@craigthescott5074 the dealerships are dropping the price so much lately. Probably because the manufacture overproduced them. If it drops below msrp, I may get one. Is the z51 a must? What comes with it?
IMO, if you have the money, I recommend the 2LT. I like the “additional bells & whistles”/features you get. One “Big Thing” for me was that I wanted the Heads Up Display. I might have considered a 1LT if the “HUD” was an option. I also wanted the GT2 Seats but, you must have 2LT or 3LT in order to put those seats in your build. For the Front Lift, it requires 2LT or 3 LT. I’m not sure about the 23s if you can get it now with a 1LT. As to 3LT, you pay around an additional $4,000 for 3 items above the 2LT. You get the GT2 Seats and you get Custom Leather and Microfiber materials. I’m not a fan of suede or Alcantara material, or paying $4,000. So clearly, I am for the 2LT and all that it offers. Thanks SueAnne and Jason for the Vlog
I chose the 2LT even though I REALLY wanted the yellow stitching but yeah, I went 2LT simply because I just couldn’t justify the extra $. I did get the GT2 seats as well. They just look so good!
@@FrontSeatDriver yes I agree totally, I had to get a 1LT because I got the Z51 and HTC. I wish now I would have got the 2LT. The 1LT seats work fine for me but the heads up display and garage door remote in the visor are the two big things for me. And you get more speakers with the 2LT. I may just have Chevy install more speakers and a garage door opener visor.
Great video! She did great too. All 3 options are nice but for me, I always go all out and get every option. If I can’t afford all options, I just wait and buy when I can. I enjoy the extra options, never have the regret later on that I wish I got a particular option that can’t be added later, and having all options makes my cars standout and much easier to sell later, if I ever choose to sell. I’ll definitely be getting every option with competition seats, hopefully the Z06 if my allocation ever comes to life. Sucks because I’m number 7 at my dealership so it will still be awhile, and that’s and if it ever happens.
Can’t wait for you to get the Z06!! I definitely agree on getting everything you want. I regret not doing the 3 LT. I really wanted that yellow stitching. Lol
The only reason I was going to go 3LT was I wanted two tone black and red seats, but not the red on the console, dash and doors, as I thought it was too much red. But I cannot see spending $4k to "delete" red for black (which should be cheaper anyway) and the only gain would be some additional red stitching.
I visited CW back in January while i was in town visiting friends. I am from Pennsylvania. I loved talking to Sue Ann. We talked for 15 minutes before i even started looking at cars. Sue Ann and CW are awesome!
@@FrontSeatDriver Thanks man! Next time i am down there i an going to try an make an event if i can. Perhaps coffee and corvette. Chat with you guys for a little. Love your videos. Keep up the good work brother!
I bought a Black 2023 1LT it has adrenaline red seats so the red stitching came standard. I also own a C7 so I'm used to the blind spots so the lack of the camera rear view mirror doesn't bother me. I'm satisfied with my "budget build" ❤
👋 SuAnne 👋 Jason, Another great video man! Really nice pointing out the differences/features of each trim level. Inventory seemed lower then I was there last time? Looking forward to our next gathering! 83 👍 Currently! -Shane
Me too man! Had a great time when you were here. Definitely low on inventory. I think people have bought cars hoping to make a ton of cash from used car dealers and those days are over so they’re holding for the moment. I know they’re making offers on new cars but at reasonable prices.
Really appreciate this fantastic breakdown. Im havent had any Chevies in the past and I honestly found it a bit confusing going back and forth between the different trims to try to compare the exact differences in body and features between the 1, 2, and 3 LT. Thanks!
Yes. Agreed but I would recommend the 2LT simply for the camera. It make a HUGE difference in my opinion. Of course, with the HTC it’s standard. Just my opinion though.
@@FrontSeatDriver My 2020 1lt with magnetic ride control and z51 package has been great! The only thing that would be handy are the automatic mirrors! I can't see going to a 2lt for that option.
Great video Jason and excellent topic for SueAnn to discuss. I like how she was comparing a 1LT to a 3LT in that it helps support the idea, or at least my idea, of going down the middle if you will in many things, but in this case how can you go wrong with choosing a 2LT optioned car. Early on she mentioned the HUD units. While I was being instructed for driving on the track my instructor told me bury the HUD unit in that he viewed it as a distraction, which in fact it is while on the track. There are other things to keep your eyes on and your ears open to. Continuing on, I'm always amazed at how guys like yourself by doing just a walkabout can identify what option package a C8 has. To me it's mind bogglingly. I can do it with the C6's and older generations, but once the C7 came on the scene I found I couldn't do it and now with the C8's I'm lost in space. Maybe if I owned a C7, which I'd still love to have, would improve my ability and I suppose if I owned a C8 I'd be a lot more aware of as well. But I don't see a C8 in my future, but boy would I love to have a C7 manual, especially a ZO6, but that's pushing my dream bubble a bit. So a GS or even a base model would make me a happy camper. Last but least, I appreciate how SueAnne talks slow and distinctly, and you let her talk pretty much without interruption except for suitable questions. Kudos to the both of you on this video. 👍👍 Don't get used to my short comments here. I have a reputation to maintain being "The Man of Few Words." 🤣 Save the Wave 🙋♂
Lol. Thanks for your reply. I love the long replies. You put a lot of thought into them! It’s funny what you said about the HUD, I actually never use it. I literally look right through it. I tend to forget it’s even there. I’m more focused on the road. If you look at these cars often enough you begin to remember the differences in the trim levels. Even if you have a really terrible memory like I do. Lol Always good to hear from you, Peter! Have a great weekend!
Pearl white trio coat, coupe, Stealth interior, carbon fiber interior trim, competition seats, front left, Z51 package several other options. I’ve ordered a front splitter, side rockers, high wing and mud flaps all from ACS Composite. my build week is 2/6/23 i’ve ordered side, rockers and mudflaps that I’m not even going to use from dealer or factory, I did not realize they were or look like rubber, i like the carbon flash look better so I went for the upgrade lol
I’m happy with my 1LT HTC and spent the extra $5k+ in other mods. I’d rather have a great looking car than to have a bone dry 2lt or 3lt just to say I have heated and ventilated seats (IMO).
I’m waiting for the big swoosh in pricing,,That’s an assembly line car and they gotta make them to sell them, pick the right color outside the right color inside, get the one LT, break it, then you can beat the car good
It is sad that going from LT1 , up to LT3 does not have a better quality of interior parts. I had an opportunity to sit in a 2023 LT3 , and the Stalk controls, and other parts were just crap. JMO
Can you verify something for me please? I was told that with the upgraded Napa leather package, that the seats are actually still Mulan for durability. I was told that the dash pad and door panels and surrounds are the only thing actually upgraded.
Sorta. On the GT 2 seats the inserts are Napa but the bolsters are Mulan. It’s funny you asked. I have a 2LT and actually looked at my seats today. My Z06 is supposedly all Napa leather but to be honest, I don’t even notice a difference when I’m in them. The only thing that really gets my attention is the microfiber suede. Not saying it’s better either, just obviously different from leather.
@@jimoverschmidt8169 Yeah. As much as I would love to have the yellow stitching I think I’m fine with the 2LT. It’s not something (the leather differences) I ever really think about when I’m in the car.
I just got a 1LT that someone sold. Being that the motor is the same in all 3 and I came from V8 Jaguar F type I can't relate to cameras and speakers being a real selling point. Now if it's a V6 vs a V8...then it's a no brainer.
The rear vision on the C8 through the back window in my opinion is poor so I’d want the rear camera. Just personal preference. Plus the front cameras are a nice benefit when I pull into my garage. Not a must have but saves me time not having to get out and check how far in I am. These are not mandatory, just conveniences.
@FRONT SEAT DRIVER This is my first vette...and there is no shortage of these must have videos so it's a bit strange seeing it discussed in the context of a "supercar" and they all seem to be assist like items. I can understand the Z06 vs stingray debate....but trim with the SAME MOTOR???...and must haves????..nahhhh
SuAnne looking very nice and always a professional. have to see what the mega millions is talking about this friday, would be nice just to buy all of them. just got back from ft worth earlier, had to pick up my tranny and rear end. my country ass doesn't like getting to deep into the city, big old slow ford truck didnt help either.
Good luck on that mega millions! Just walk in and say, “yes.” Lol. And yes, SuAnne is awesome. Always very professional. She nailed most of this stuff in one take. My brain usually shuts off and I do 5 retakes. 😂 I guess it’s just 2nd nature to her at this point.
Still over at most places but prices are DEFINITELY dropping. Most dealers seem to be offering less and working older inventory out and as they do, I assume prices will continue to drop.
great vid.. Im mad that some of those safety items should be on all models . If GM does implement the stop/start crap next year they should add the other stuff.
I can’t believe new car dealers are still trying to sell over MSRP. Those days are pretty much in the past. Used car dealers are really having to cut down what they’re offering because they don’t want to get stuck holding the bag on a car that’s continuing to drop in value with each passing month.
Yo, I enjoyed the video. I’m turning 16 and I’m trying to start early learning about and making money and investing. This is my dream car, I can’t wait to be able to afford this soon😁
