Rick, in Ky we have a State Police Corvette. They get it to lead the pack !! Also put fliers out to all the people who live on the 555. So they can come out to watch you all go by.

When I hear about people complaining about delays on their cars I kinda chuckle. For various reasons, military, marriage, kids, grandkids…etc…I waited over 50 years to be able to finally purchase my first Corvette. Patience…when you do get your car you will appreciate the experience that much more! Just the thoughts of an old dude who drives around in a Corvette with a grin on his mug! Thanks for another great vlog Rick!

Rick and Chuck, really appreciate Tech Tuesday and all the knowledge you pass on to the Corvette community. You always clarify the misinformation many of us receive from other dealership, as with gentleman today, when he tried to claim his first service at 4,000 miles and the dealership said he couldn't do it. I hope you both know how valuable you both are for us when we have to battle other dealerships. Can't wait for 555 upload, so I can experience that great event.

The discussion on the first service and the DCT filter was again very informative. I like the way you and Chuck emphasize the 7500 miles and 2 years. I also liked your direct response to the question about ordering. We live in a different world since 2020. You cannot control what you do not have control over. I can understand your frustration. The beautiful rides were nice too.

1,100 MILES: YES, with 1,100 Miles, so many issues with the Transmission were being presented, I had and paid for a COMPLETE FLUSH OF THE TRANSMISSION (Preventative Maintenance) and ADDED 2 ADDITIONAL LITERS AT THAT TIME) Had the oil and filter changed too. First Service!!! Overly Cautious figured and expected comments might come my way. BUT, ounce of prevention might work in my favor!!! A prominent RU-vid Corvette Channel Person told me if it’s a fluid, it’s never too early to change it!!! OK, so I can sleep better at night and hopefully have good luck! All systems GO!!! Soon for Winter Storage…..😢 in PA

Just watched…yep, awesome! And the ‘entitlement’ comment may rub some people the wrong way but you are 100% correct. Nowadays, we’re all used to having things immediately (ie Amazon). Don’t get me wrong, it’s a nice luxury, but not ALL of life is immediate. Patience is STILL a virtue.

Thanks again Chuck and Rick!! Just had my 7500 service done Monday at 6991 miles. I've been doing more than 500 miles on some weekends and did not want to go over 7500. 😀

I understand the 7500 mileage for service but am I correct, if those miles not put on, you have to do it before 2years.

Excellent vlog Rick. I took my 22 C8 in for the 7500 mile service. My C8 had 7200 miles. I asked the CSA if they rotated the tire as part of this service. He told me that they do not rotate the tires on a C8. That is not recommended. They went as far as indicating that in the invoice. Based on what you said the is incorrect. A lot of inconsistencies between dealerships.

Thank you Rick & Father Chuck for helping me with my issue today! My dealer is standing by the fact that if it is not within 500 miles of 7,500 GM will not cover the service of the transmission and I have to pay for it. Yes it is within the 2 year period. I will will be calling the Manager tomorrow because the service writer decided not to call me back today with the answer to my questions. Thanks again, Iain

Have question, just got my 2023 C8, ordered it with the radiator grill guards. It only has 3 of them, the 2 fronts, and 1 side guard. I ask my dealer about it. He told me they only put 3 in due to cooling problems. Is this true?

Great show again. Rick, they just don't understood the car business. I can't remember how many strikes I went through in 45 + years as a parts mgr. Fuel crisis, trucking strikes, etc. No one cares. All I ever heard is "where the hell is my part". Chin up guys. Best Vette blog and info period. 👍👍

What I loved is GM out of the blue Charging $2100 on all New Vetts(not other cars) breaking their price promise for the E-ray buyers THEN Delaying them even more right after. Nice double shot. =-/ Why wait for there to be any deal when you can just start charging the Corvette buyers. Its not like any on the UAW guys work on other vehicles. But Im not bitter about all this... not at all. lol

Guess I’m lucky my new transmission will be at 7500 when the car hits 22500. I will be interested to see if the filter change is on GM since it’s a new one. Great tech Tues. 🤞🏻you decide to do the 555 again.

Rick, I think the biggest problem is when people see you 99.9% of the time you know everything that’s going on so they’re used to that so when they call GM and nobody tells them anything they get frustrated. Unfortunately when I ordered my car, I could not hook up with you and I did find a dealer here in Michigan and let me tell you 90% of the dealers are not like you they don’t know what they’re doing and they don’t care. I am currently at 3000 status and I am happier than a pig in you know what.😂
