I am 16 year old Assamese boy and Thanku Sarthak bhaiya humare issues ko dikhane ke liye ❤

I am from assam but am neither Assamese, Bengali or marwari. The biggest concern for people rn is the demographic shift, which could result in the loss of lands and jobs. Assamese has had a history of being oppressed in favour of bengali culture by colonial powers. At one point , the state language was made bengali. Hence, there is bitterness regarding that.

Why indigenous assamese people oppose CAA: 1. violation of Assam Accord: In the historical Assam movement more than 855 nos of people's sacrificed their lives in the hope of a infiltration free assam. After this harsh struggle a aggreement was signed between government of india and assam movement leaders which clearly states that the government will identify and deport any and all refugees and migrants from Assam who came after March 25 ,1971. But CAA is totally violating this accord. 2. Economic problems: Assam is already facing problems like underdeveloped infrastructure, limited industrialisation and natural disasters. Assam GDP per capita is just INR 86000. In this kind of harsh conditions how can Assam handle the burden of 20 lakh immigrants.(This number of 20 lakh was stated by non other than assam state BJP chief). 3. Distribution of immigrants:Why should only assam take the burden of hindu bangladeshis. The immigrants must be distributed among 28 states equally. There is not a single sentence in CAA about equal distributions of immigrants.Assam is not a dustbin for immigrants. 4. 6 th scheduled: If CAA is harmful for 6 th scheduled areas of assam than how can it be harmless for other parts of assam. 5. Identify crisis: The Bangladeshi immigrants are not going adopt Assamese culture and language.They will bound Assamese people to adopt Bengali culture and language.It is already happening in many parts of assam where density of Bangla people is high.The assamese people who lives in those areas has already forgot about their roots. It is estimated that one indigenous language dies every two weeks.We don't want to see our Assamese language on this list. 6. Communal conflict: The CAA will provoke communal clashes among indigenous Assamese people and assamese bengalis . Because we will fill the insecurity of becoming minority.We don't want see our beautiful state burning like manipur. 7. Votebank politics: BJP just want to create a permanent Hindu Bangladeshi votebank in assam .which will surely lead to drastic demographic change in assam.

I am in Silchar (Barak valley) here it looks like Bangladesh 😢...not a single people talk in Assamese...all are chelathi (banlgadeshi Bangali)language spoken people

The main reason why assamese are against caa is, the colonial govt. Impose bangali as state language of Assam from 1836 to 1873. For 37 years our ancestors fight for reviving our language so we are afraid of that. So we assamese try to save our language and our exsistance.

I'm a Bangladeshi Hindu and the first thing I wish to make clear is, I would rather die here in BD than being an Assamese migrant. The second thing is, it pains me to see how short sighted Assamese people are in terms of politics. It is true that BJP is doing all of these things to increase their vote bank but trust me brothers, the very thing you're being afraid of, the economic lack of opportunities, will become true within two or three decades if you don't let CAA and NRC happen. You haven't seen the way Bangladeshi Muslims reproduce. The already existing Muslims there will make you minorities within a few days. Just wait and watch your grandchildren face the same situation as us. Again, you're better off letting the CAA and NRC happen rather than trying to stop BJP from enjoying the temporary facilities that you are afraid to lose right now.

Or jo log ajse 150-200 sal Pehle aye wo 'ST' caste me 3.
