Love this video, I. much prefer watching Freight Trains run on these lines than the Faster main line Passenger routes. There is a character about them and you get the grass root feel of Rail transportation. Keep them coming mate.

At the bottom of the fields where I live runs the Paddington to Penzance line. We get numerous class 59/66 pulling the Yeoman hoppers, it always amazes me how weight those engines can pull.

Following this trip on the track map book I now appreciate the complexities of getting a train from A to B in a fixed time.

Brilliant sound quality, though you can perhaps see why drivers have sometime suggested that more cab soundproofing might have been an idea.That's an interesting arrangement with the signal at the beginning. Effectively two separate junctions under the control of one signal.

Catching up on your back catalogue and I do prefer these cab rides compared to the ones shot forma camera attached to your head. The main thing is that we get to see all these single interconnecting lines from yards and depots that most public wouldn't get to see... makes for such an interesting video.

Thanks, it hadn't occurred to me that London Overground trains on the West London Line switch from AC to DC whilst moving, just before the line passes under the Westway!

Thoroughly enjoyable film footage of a route rarely seen. Oh, but what a truly lamentable state of weed control by Network Rail, given a few more months of inaction and train drivers won't be able to see the lines at all.

Good video. One thing I’d like to know is where do you end up if you get a “junction one” indication from signal AW146 at the start?
@russiandrivers9986
@russiandrivers9986 Год назад
You know this driver is impatient because you can hear him revving up before the signal goes green

Can you describe What a Class 66 or any locomotive like to drive light engine as per Driving with a full loaded train. Sorry about all my silly questions I am just fascinated.
@freightrambler7199
@freightrambler7199 6 лет назад
Well with a light engine you drive faster & lighter, so you need quicker reactions than when driving with a plodding loaded train, you also have less brake force, so have to be aware when on cautionary signals, of braking distances...

There's a lot of slack in the schedule for this service. I see Monday 10th Sept service 777B left Acton 40 minutes late at 1350, yet arrived at Tolworth 2 minutes early.

Most of it is buddleia, it's a big menace trackside, in yards, on infrastructure, it should be banned from garden centres, and treated like Japanese Knotweed.
