A small trip from Hither Green Down Sidings ( Bramdean ) to Nunhead on a nice sunny June day, sorry for the rather poor sound in places, before anyone starts moaning ! this would have been a longer outing but the memory card became full !

I hate that approach to Nunhead, with the ghosts of the Crystal Palace high level line now buried beneath those ugly blocks of flats. Such a stupid piece of short sighted bureaucracy to close the line...especially as early as 1954.

Thank you ! now i drive Class 66's & Class 59's, my past traction's were Class 60, Class 47, Class 37, Class 58, also 08's & 09's, also learnt Class 67's...the trainload would have been aggregates...

The last freight train had a 66 on the back. WS it dead in tow. Or was it helping the loco at the front do you think?

Yes a big shame about the Class 60's ( my basic traction ), never been to Toton, only drive in South East....
