Many holidays in Sestri forty to sixty years ago, all by train from Genoa, so thanks for the memories! Italian trains are a wonderful way to see the country!
Well done with the editing of the tunnels. Not savagely deleting the entire length of the longer tunnels but still retaining a sense of how long the tunnels are but not becoming boring by including the entire length. Leaving in the shorter tunnels gives a much fuller experience of the entire journey. Very professional !
@itsonlycapnkirk I really appreciate your comment, thank you. It is quite hard to get an optimal length of the tunnel and I am happy that it worked out well.
Oh man, i was confused, if the tunnels were edited at all. Truely great efforts in "arcading it down" for an average watcher! And thanks for pointing that up.
@@jayswarrow1196 thank you for your comment. Some viewers would like to see the entire trip, but I think that for most of the watchers long tunnels are just too long black screen.
A great coastal cab ride, from Genova towards Cinque Terre. Visited the whole area in 2014, stayed overnight in Rapallo and swam on the nice beaches of Sestri Levante, thanks for bringing back nice old memories! Greetings from a traveller from Germany, happy new year!
@roadsexplore Happy New Year to you too. Zou are welcome, it is always good to hear about the good memories. In next video you will be able to see the villages of Cinque Terre too.
The train journey is wonderful and interesting, and the houses and buildings are many and beautiful 🇮🇹Italy is very beautiful .. Thank you for taking us with you And for this wonderful video 💐🌹🤗
@gargamel91660 Merci beaucoup. I am very honoured that I earned the title as one of your two favourite channels with Lorirocks777. He makes wonderful videos on great lines. Thank you again. I will publish the videos from Nice soon. Have a nice day!
@gargamel91660 Thank you very much for your compliments. I really appreciate them. It is not easy to keep up posting with frequency, specially in winter time, when days are short and the weather is not always helping. You are right, I am recording and editing alone. I am very grateful for valuable help from Zvonimir, railfan from Croatia, and my wife, helping me with information, ideas, and for support.
thank u for the cabride! the Thyrrenian shores and the seaside places on Tigullio Gulf of Rapallo are really amazing! All the ligurian railways! If u get a train in Spain it would be a nice cabride with Eusko Tren from Irun to San Sebastian and Bilbao on the rocky coast of Gipuzkoa and Vizcaya! Thank u for your nice efforts! Followed
@wladislaw79 Glad you like them and thank you for subscribing. Is that line in Spain narrow gage? What a coincidence, just last weekend I saw that there are some very interesting lines in the northern part of Spain, mostly narrow gauge on the coastline. I have a plan to go there and check it out during my next vacations.
Outstanding ! At last we get a very welcomed update from the previous videos of the 90s (they where excellent and shot on a sunny day, though…) . Thanks for the captions (essential) but no more tunnel lengths after a few ones ? This is one of the best part of italian railways, as well as it is on the roads and autostrade around Genova, for tunnels and viaduct fans …
@nanba25 I appreciate your comment. Now in the winter time it is a bit more difficult with the weather, I couldn't choose the day. Maybe I can get another footage next summer. I just found the length of some tunnels and thought that some is better than none....
Bellissime immageni scattate in 4K.
@baptisteesclauze3566 I am glad that you liked the video. The Ligurian coast is really beautiful. It seems that I am saying the same thing all the time, but there are so many places around the world and the views from the railway lines are always great. I wish you a nice day!
Altho i'd prefer camera to be inside the cab, even if not filming the controls, but at least being behind the wipers, and recording the sound that appears to the driver (without the wind noise)), i gotta say, this is spectacular experience. Nice touch with the hud, too.
Grazie
I must say this was a curious ride! The train brakes are so screechy? And people live right off the track! 🙃 But anyway, beautiful scenary, hills, sea, neatly packed city. It's great to see that even with this lack of space, public transport found its place among the buildings. Nice! thanks, RR! 🤜
@avarielhr you are welcome. I am glad that you like the video. Yes, it is amazing how the railway is placed in the cities between the houses. Have a nice day!
The railway mostly was built before most of the buildings.that area has not so much space, being close to the mountains.that's why they haven't yet shifted the track.
@@avarielhr not everywhere. Part of the line has been shifted a bit inland but some parts still are on the old 1870s location, especially west of Savona
@cicnustrebi in the timetables and the line description there is Piazza Principe and I just found this text in Wikipedia ¸¸Genova Piazza Principe railway station (commonly called Genova Principe or incorrectly Genova Porta Principe) ¸¸...
