I'm glad this exists. I remember every inch of this route. having been back and forth on it so many times in the 80s, running from one thing, or chasing some other thing, or both.
Very enjoyable video. Reminds me of many trips on this line before the cheap flights came. Only one side of Holyhead station is now used, no more 10 carriage combinations all the way to London. Even the ferries are berthed miles away from the station, whereas they used to pull up alongside the platforms decades ago.
Maybe a daft question..... Did the eve electrify the Chester to Holyhead route? When I lived over there circa 40 yrs or so, there was a lot of talk about it.
