In which Arthur informs you that Cabin Pressure is being repeated on BBC Radio 4, Sundays at 7.15, and then available on iPlayer and BBC Sounds. (Buy me a coffee at ko-fi.com/johnfinnemore if you like, but it's also fine not to. Arthur's making these for the joy of it.)

The looming issue is what will happen when the granny flat closes for business? How do we get updates on the mouse family? Track progress on the piano playing and beard? Maybe we could have a staged exit plan with an option to revert back if too many listeners are adversely affected?

I shall now start right again from the beginning at 19:15 this eve - marvellous. Thanks for keeping us entertained Arthur, and do thank John for the loan of his YT channel. 👍🏻

How fascinating that the BBC made a documentary of you guys! And what wonderful mice names - do you think anyone's every named their actual children using that? Or maybe their fictional characters? I used a random letter generator to see what my five main characters in a play I'd write would be called: -Pemyena -Lonaok (isn't that very fantastical?) -Kheq -Qonv -Croky How interesting!

The BBC would wait until I bought the CDs of Cabin Pressure to repeat them on the radio! 🙄 But I don't care because now I can listen to them whenever I like, (I'm trying to ration them to two a day so I don't get through them too quickly, but my self control is slowly failing...), and more people will get to hear them on the radio for the first time which is Brilliant! 😃

It's my first time listening to them in full, and I'm completely obsessed with them now. I am very much looking forward to the extras, apart from the fact that reaching them will mean I've got to the end... But that means I'll be able to start from the beginning again! 😃 Yay! Oh dear, lol, I think Arthur's logic is rubbing off on me already! 😂

Hi John. I've listened to Cabin Pressure hundreds of time and really enjoyed it. However, I noticed that In the episode "Wokingham", Caroline and Douglas are trying not to use any words with more than one syllable, and Douglas loses on the word "mustaches". However Douglas really lost before that because when they were leaving Wendy's house, Douglas asks Martin "all okay"? The word "okay" is more than one syllable, therefore Douglas lost before he said "mustaches". This in no way takes away from how great the show is; this is just to find out if you already noticed this or not. Thanks for reading.

As far as I know, the UK spelling is 'O.K.' and 'okay' is American, so Douglas is in the clear I think because you can hardly get more British than him.
@wolfjackle
@wolfjackle 4 года назад
@@the-reading-lemon if you look at the etymology of the term, it started as slang with just the letters O.K. (acronym based off a delibrate misspelling of orl korrect) but when it was phased into the common vernacular, spelling adjusted to okay so it looked more like a word. Very possible that switch never happened in British English. Either way, I'm going with Douglas knows this history, knows it's an acronym, and figures that makes it not one word.
