I think the thing with the "I'd sit and watch you paint a wall" brigade is that I for one always dreamed of living in a hut in the woods with a nice workshop to get on with my technical-what-have-you but never got off my arse for long enough to actually do it..... so I enjoy watching someone who did.

This lockdown is such a blessing in some ways. Getting lots of little jobs done around the place too. Doing all the jobs I couldn't justify before cos there was more important things to do. Iv built a new pallet shed for logs and the old woodshed is now storage for all the shit that's been lying around. Very enjoyable.

What you have built up over the years is perfect for the uncertain times we are living in, your fairly self sufficient and have the survival skills which for many has been eroded over time as populations have unlearnt some very basic stuff, I have said it before but I find your channel very inspiring.

Used to paint the old shed with a mix of used engine oil and paraffin, better at stopping rot than the new timber and fence preservers.

I built my own shed out of pallet wood it’s a monster so I can see your shed as a nice one.

Hi Max - thanks for the video -just thought I would mention that when I have used bitumen for painting wooden buildings I have found that if I keep it warm I don't need to thin it down with white spirit. I use hot water in a large container and suspend the roller tray in it. Means I can use the bitumen on fairly cool days. You can actually buy paint warmers but I figured a DIY solution would be cheaper - and it is!

When you do the next video on this cabin, could you explain your plans for the cabin if possible. Great content.👍

Great little project, Max, it'll be interesting to see where it ends up! One comment, I think it wood be wise to find it's new position and block it up properly before re-doing the roof. The sagging end may want to buckle/wrinkle your metal roof when blocked up, if done the other way around! Thanks for the vids...stay healthy!

I met a girl who was living in a building like that in the woods , hers was from a WW2 Prisoner of war camp., but I've also seen them in South Yorkshire where they were used as temporary accomodation for men building Dams Great video as usual Max

little helpful tip......... store paint upside down with secure lids of course, or turn all paint tins top to bottom top regularly , helps the paint maintain a constant viscosity. easy to pour and use???> thank you for the videos etc. njoy.

Subsidence probably caused by incorrect tyre pressures 😉😂, that’s my idea of panic buying too & my pile of off cuts is looking pretty smug😁, love the birds singing & that sunshine! Here in Scotland it’s not long stopped raining from Christmas & it’s all just grey & overcast now, when the sun comes out our eyes will probably melt🙈, chin up friends 💪❤️👍
