I was annoyed when cooking that I could not open my "in cabinet" trash can drawer without getting my dirty hands all over the cabinet. I was inspired by another RU-vidr and came up with this solution. Locks link: www.amazon.com...
awesome, love it. one improvement idea: extending the kick panel toward either side, so you don't have to worry about the door panel hitting your leg when opening it
This is super clever! I've been considering different options for a hands-free drawer. But i didnt like the feel and function of the IKEA Utrusta electric system. This also solves the issue of cabinet fronts getting smudged/worn by the foot. Just ordered the parts and looking forward to installing.
I was so confused when this came up in my subscription feed because i happened to be fiddling with these cabinets recently but originally followed you for NSX content :D cool idea!
I actually had them so unsure. That said, I switched light weight bungee cords I got at Home Depot (also don’t have the link). It definitely takes some fiddling to get the right amount of rebound strength. Next BTW I want full 13 gallon slide outs. The mini (maybe 10 gallon) ones are annoying as standard kitchen bags are 13 gallon. That will be another video I guess…
Thanks so much. It appears your drawer slides are not self/soft close. I wonder if self/soft close slides could overcome the bungee and latch forces to pull the door shut.
@@Eman-hx1qw You are correct. Mine were not (only drawer that wasn’t actually). I don’t feel too much resistance on the other drawers but fiat point, it may need a bit more pull. The risk is it shooting out. My first elastic bad broke yesterday. Easy enough to swap out though.
