I sure wish my Dad was alive to see your trucks. He drove for Cleveland Freight lines and loved his GMC Astro back than.

I wish there was a place where non truckers could go, pay some dough and get to drive some big rigs for a couple of hours in a safe setting. I would much rather do that than go to Disney World.

Just imagining this thing making a trip back in the day out to Bakersfield for a visit to Delaney&Ahlf to have them work their magic on that 8v71…..for decades, they made believers out of those who might’ve doubted the potential in those old 2-cycle Detroits.

I remember there was an Astro in my local area as a youth, it had almost the paint scheme as Blue Jay. I loved that truck. This truck in particular, really brings back the memories for me. Love it.

Blue Jay is just showing off. The Black Satin paint does look great. I see you replaced the elbow on the right exhaust. Did you paint the engine yet? Hard to tell with the dry engine cover on it. I am sure you are ahead of the game. Keep up the great work.

Coming along very nicely! A few things inside fix that door and you’ll be ready to haul loads again. Must take a lot patience working thru these projects. That’ll be a really sharp ride when done with that paint job it’ll stand out really nice.

When you drive those ASTROS long enough you master the entry and exit for a perfect 10. It would be nice if you had a flat bed so you could take your fleet with you. Awesome job Dane.👍👍

I didn’t remember the 318 engines having the pull knob. Now that’s really jogging my memory!🤪 So, do you have a CB that you use for all the trucks or a single one for each truck? I shall show you a setup we used to have for ours back in the day, but I like having different CBS for each truck myself. That’s a lot of wire brushing on a frame, etc! It turned out….well, just with a click of your fingers. Let me know what Lickety Split service you used! LOL! 🤩 I imagine that old carpet really stunk up the cab. Yeah, speaking of the cab, it sure IS a nice view up there! That’s only one of the things I’ve always liked about cabovers.🥰 Not a bad thing to do on a Sunday afternoon, ey?! Oh, yeah! Cerni Motors would be a nice show, but I’m bringing my new ride home on Saturday. We’ve been planning on this for some time now. Blue jay is the has the exact stripe configuration of the old astro we use to have except ours was blue with silver

I really love what you have done to your Astros. Now, if you can find it's twin under the Chevrolet badge (Titan 90) that would also be a great addition to what you already have.
