It’s really cool and all but I wonder how long it’ll last with the fuel prices. But then again, someone spending this kind of money probably won’t care.
This Is the last one. There will be no more gas powered Cadillacs introduced. The current range of gas powered Cadillacs will die at the of their production run, and all will be replaced by EV’s. Starting with the Lyriq.
This whole EV thing is going to backfire big time. People think it’s cheap now, but wait until everyone stops buying gas cars, and the gov’t can’t tax them no more, they’re going to start taxing electric cars like crazy..they already are in some places.
Thank you for showing us the Radiant Red Escalade V - what a Beast! Also thank you for not opening the door of the Radiant Red Escalade V, with an interior temperature of 200 degrees! I spent my college years in the Arizona sun and thanks for the memories. Even the ESV version looks good in V-trim. But that engine - never thought I'd hear anything like it from Cadillac. Did you say the Escalade has a waiting list? This new Escalade V is gonna set records for backorders. Thanks for facing the Arizona open-air oven for us, Miles! 👍👍
You bet, Edd - I didn't want to get cooked alive! I'm not sure if there's already a waitlist, but I wouldn't be surprised. There's nothing like it on the market.
This is the old American style of car, the Cadillac Style. It's powerful, dirty, luxurious, and has nothing to fear. Really appreciate this style of car-making.
As a german, that thing is so american (in a positive way) it's not even funny =D. I think that Cadillac improved a lot over the years and decades. Even if it's not my type of car, I still can't see a point not to get that car if you are into that mega sized SUV market. In germany you wouldn't be able to park this thing anywhere in a city.
In the USA seeing car this big is normal our parking lots and roads and wider bigger. Gas is cheaper here than anywhere in Europe. Those are a few reasons
This is so cool. This video was filmed literally 5 minutes away from my home. I recognize the buildings and streets here- Scottsdale. The car is also very cool. Good video!
4.9 Is an insane 0-60 time for a huge and heavy full size SUV, I see a lot of potential for the standard 2023 trims of the Escalade. What i'm saying is that the trims other than the V could be a great ride assuming that the platinum might have the same engine, And the same for the Sport. There will be different interiors for 2023 i think, To give you a wide variety of choices to choose from. We all hope that this can compete with a Durango SRT Hellcats and Trackhawks. Some of us has heard that there might be and EXT, As we might get a new Chevy Avalanche, But it is not confirmed. (I apologize for such a long comment, Just hoping the Escalade will be better than before, Look wise.) With the new GM Truck facelift/remodels, We could possibly get a remodeled escalade for 2024. **Not confirmed, It's just me gathering data from what i have seen & watched.**
No it’s not insane. Previous model easily did below 6 seconds and it wasn’t a high performance model in any way, just a standard one. They on purpose made the new one a 7-9 second truck, which is a lot slower and you can feel it while towing. All of this at the same price as the old one, only to sell a “V trim” at a much higher price that is barely quicker and not even a bit faster than the previous generation.
Awesome review! Would pick this ahead of any SUV out there with similar power, if I could afford it that is! :) PS: From experience, don't lift your foot from the accelerator in order to not to shift weight around in corners, try to keep and push the weight forward to not upset the balance.
11:03 while driving along in Super Cruise, does it distinguish between a "lane" & a carpool lane, or will it move into carpool lane (illegally) when car ahead of you slows up?
i saw this thing on the road the other day. it just screams presence and it was menacingly looming over everything. I was surprised this thing stand out in a traffic.
@@shakaro8578 Yes they are both the full-size flagship SUVs of their brand. The are also priced similarly. They won’t be the same because they are of course built by two completely different companies. 🙂 The Escalade also competes with the Lincoln Navigator, Infiniti QX80,Lexus LX600, Jeep Grand Wagoneer and Land Rover Range Rove. ❤️
Although a cool variant, it seems to be yet another missed opportunity by GM after the comeback of the Blazer nameplate before the Bronco’s return. Hopefully GM will fix this “mistake” by placing that power plant in the Silverado to compete with the TRX and Raptor R. - Dope review as always! 🔥
It's Aug 2022, and Cadillac stopped shipping regular Escalade with Super Cruise since May 2022. Not a fair deal Cadillac. Escalade Platinum Luxury Premium is way above 100K too. How many V will you guys sell?
I'm looking for a very very smooth driving car. My husband would love it, I think. But, I am very sensitive on bumpy roads. I feel like my brain is loose. Is it a smooth driving vehicle?
Kinda disappointed Cadillac didn’t do anything special with the interior. It’s pretty much your basic Escalade Platinum on the inside. Not that that’s entirely a bad thing. But was hoping for some race inspired seats, maybe a red seats or read seatbelt option and maybe sportier peddles and perhaps real aluminum or carbon fiber in place of the wood. You get most of those things on a Lexus LX600 F-Sport, but not here?? I guess they blew the budget on the exterior and under the hood 🤷♂️
They said they specifically didn't make the interior "racey" because it might be a turn-off for Escalade buyers who wanted all the normal luxury touches with extra performance.

How are its decorations in the harsh lines? Is it coherent or does it make noise?? I think I need to know; Because I need cohesive interiors to enjoy driving it in the desert and harsh roads of Saudi Arabia
dude, no offense, but many of us like to enjoy your videos without talking and let you listen to the engine and everything and we watch your experience
10:34 he said the car infront of him going slowly?? and changed to left lane where another vehicle is bit closer infront going almost same speed?? Thats a bug in that system it didnt check safety !
We can hate all we want but I’m not going to act like this is not the best Luxury SUV ever. The fact is, nothing compares to level of practicality, technology, space, luxury and safety like this New Escalade offers. It basically has everything Rolls-Royce, Range Rover Mercedes GLS Maybach have and more. It is the only SUV that can really come close to driving itself.
The new 2023 Toyota Sequoia has heated and cooled rear seats. Surprised at this price these rear seats aren't cooled. Also 17 miles per gallon combined.
