The 2021 Up Hill Truck Snow Drag at Keyes Peak Ski Hill in Florence, Wisconsin had a few street vehicles including this Cadillac Escalade driven by Lisa Mattia vs a Toyota truck.. Keep in mind a Escalade Rocks a 6.2L V8...And a lot of people belittle it. But it's pretty much a fancier Yukon with better trims and high quality seats and interior.

@@Countrysideboy247it’s true my 04 Cadillac Escalade ext is faster then my 99 Lexus sc300 off the line and 0-60 but the sport coupe obviously drifts and handles way better 😂

To think about, those escalades are now a lot cheaper and still offer better performance, fuel economy and fun. Old toyota V6s drink a lot.

Do they allow you to load sand bags in the back? Makes a hell of a difference. I had a GMC Savana AWD but no front diff so kept getting stuck and I started loading it with 300lbs of sand in the back and could go through some deep stuff even on some hills.

So much of it is TIRES. I had a new 2000 Grand Cherokee Ltd. Loved it, but wasnt getting the Grip I expected in the snow. Had some good all terrain snow & mud tires put on & it was almost like driving on dry pavement

Tires, tires, tires! I had a set of Cooper mudd and snow off road tires on my 2 wheel drive Ranger and it could go almost anywhere. But it has an open rear differential so I’m not sure if it would have gotten up that hill.

I couldn't believe how good that Cadillac did all day. I watched the entire video and the Cadillac did really good. Now I find out from the video description it was a woman driving on top of it being a Cadillac kicking butt. I don't know if she got knocked out before they called it or not? Was there different divisions or just everyone in the same double elimination all together? That was really awesome video you took of them running the hill. 👍

she does what I do 4wheeling, cuz when I was YOUNG I had a granddad that told me to get in the old chevy pickup, put it in gear, the granny gear and GET UP that mt. I was SCARED to death to disappoint that man, and so I got in that old 50's truck and floored that thing, with tears running down my face the whole time, cuz I didn't want to roll back. I was 14, and if he asked something of me. I did it. Fast forward to living my own rocky mt high at 9k feet, and NO road, and my lil Jeep cherokees ALWAYS got up the hill. Not many could. I also drive a mini cooper 1st generation with Blizzak tires, and I get up the icy roads when others can't...lol. Get up speed, keep up the friction and HAUL A$$....

She actually blew a transfer case so she could only get a few runs however it will be ready and improved for future events a mud run may be in it's future as well

I put all my chips on the Toyota. But the tires were not there. Cadillac did great. Try that in a 75 Eldo! With knobby tires of course.

Nice. A question, maybe you know the answer to. The GMC Yukon Denali and Yukon AT4 both advertise having "Active Response 4 wheel drive", while the Escalade does not advertise having that. Though all do or can have 2H, 4H, 4L and Auto, But since they are all GM, and the same base vehicle, do you know, does the Escalade have that same active response 4 wheel drive functionality/capability but perhaps just doesn't call it that due to being Cadillac and not GMC? And if not, might that cause the Escalade to not handle the bad snowstorms quite as well?

The Toyota doesn’t weigh enough to get grip and it only has 200hp. The Escalade is 5000lbs and has 400hp its way better suited for this. VVT and DOHC didn’t save him this time 😂 OHV and Pushrods ftw
