Hey Ray, I just found your Cadillac BB videos and want to thank you for sharing your videos and knowledge. Guys like you are what make this hobby "Wrenching" the great pleasure it is. Your hard work has inspired many BB Cadillac fans. Thanks again, you're a gem. 👍 ✌
I'm trying to find out what to do for my 1980.cadilac Eldorado it has a 368 in it with the throttle body on it injectors not spraying right please help me
Injectors not spraying? ... could be the fuel pump or fuel pump relay. Could be the oil pressure switch. You nay need to get a noid light to see it the ECM is actually pulsing the i jectores to spray.... if there is no pulse at the injector during cranking, then the problem can be related to the ECM or a no power issue. Check your fuses. It could also be something wrong with the distributor... this is how the ECM gets a timing reference to pulse the injectors, could be a bad pickup coil or bad ignition module. Check wiring to the distributor. Make sure there is power. Make sure the igition rotor rotates when cranking the engine... if not then you have a broken timing chain or broken cam gear. Make sure you have fresh gasoline, old gas will not burn well and old gas can clog fuel lines and injectors
@@blackericdenice Unfortunately the Cadillac 500 gets all the testing and fame. Very little dyno time for the smaller Cadillac engines. Although most of the same modifications can be made on the 425 with similar results.
The 472/500 intakes will physically bolt onto a 368..... but you will have a very poor running engine. You will have a very large step going from this intake to the 368 ports in the head... and the runners on these intakes are just too big for a 368. Your best bet is to find a 1980 carbureted 368 intake manifold.... Or get a TBI to Holley 500 two barrel adapter plate.
@@raysoto1969 What about the 425 Carburated Intakes?? Would they fit without issues? I am doing the same as this guy and i can't find The correct intake information i need, I want a 4bbl intake single plenum that will fit on the 368 but have no part numbers and i don't know if the 425 will fit, if not then the 472 or the 500 will Please let me know, thx
@@raysoto1969 Aah perfect to hear, now it will bolt on, but will it leak air because of the ports or doesn't it? since i know that the 472 and the 500 have bigger ports and will possibly cause air leaks
@TuningDutchy the 425 intake on a 368 doesn't leak if you use the 368 intake gasket... however, putting a 368 intake on a bigger engine will more likely leak
None of them flow worth a crap, if you want stay original, then stay stock. For performance, just go with aftermarket, much lighter and flow way better.
@@Dub-ce3dy When I was playing with the big Caddy's, aftermarket stuff wasn't available too much. Personally, I would go with something that will build the low and mid range torque, what Caddy's are known for. The stock intakes if you look at them, they flow in a downhill, which they should, but then uphill. Let me know how you make out in your build.
I like you let's be friends thanks for that info man I'm working on a 425 engine I called The mad Max Nova that's a lot of that's a good that's some good information there keep up the good work send me your number I want to send my car up my intake to you
