I told you last week the Lyriq is the Bomb, in the EV luxury market, forget the over priced, and under performing Mercedes EQS, Lucid Air, BMW ix 50, etc, etc. They all have serious flaws, luggage space issues, and comfort deficiencies. As I also said before wives will love this car, but also me as a husband will love it too 😊

@@thedukeofmanville okay I have the 2023 Luxury debit edition with 22 inch wheels and all the features. I was supposed to get a 2024 based on my order this time last year. But I opted for the 2023 which was a couple thousand dollars cheaper.

Hi, I’ve had mine since December. The standard wiper blades are the same size. The glove box feature is favorable. It allows the entrance of the glove box to be flat(no lock mechanism), and how often do you use the glove box (average person). This vehicle has been a “DREAM”!

I agree. The Rivian doesn't have a glove box. I never used mine, but some people put their "protection devices" in the glove box, and this may be an issue for them. Congrats on the Lyriq purchase! Have you taken on a road trip yet?

I asked the car dealer about this when I returned it, and they said it was just a mistake. They had some 2024 Lyriqs on the lot and the wipers were the correct size.

Maaan, if you're going to do a 0-60 test, you have to put that mug in Sport mode!! All the difference in the world!

It was in sport mode. I'm just use to my Rivian's acceleration, and it is still slower than the Tesla Model Y, but this is a luxury car, so a fast 0-60 isn't necessary IMO.

O to 60 improves by 4 tenths OF A SECOND IF you pay 1200 bucks for OTA TORQUE ONCREASE OF 74 FT LBS. CHINA models get that free or included in price. Come on hot rodding techies figure our how to do this with a sel f built update.

@@thedukeofmanville yes the last 24 hrs has been fun since this is my first EV. I rented a Tesla back in November while out of town just to test using an EV. I was convinced after a couple days. I was not sold on the Tesla look but Cadillac is killing them once people see this car. You already know the right ride is something different. 🤣

Human beings are never better than Super Cruise as the 60,000 traffic deaths per year shows. I have driven thousands of miles with Super Cruise in my 2019 CT6. There is always those 2 or 3 seconds that you need to remove your attention from the road to see a sign, change the music, grab something from inside the car, plug your phone in, adjust your HVAC. All those things you can do in Super Cruise with comfort in knowing that the car has your back for those few seconds.

I never said that. Super cruise is awesome, but a human is better than full self driving. Super cruise is not FSD, but Cruise is and the just lost their license to operate in San Francisco because of problems the driverless car was causing.

Thank you for your review I am looking to pull the trigger for either the Lyriq or Rivian R1S for model year 2025 when the both have the NACS charger port and they have worked out the bugs from the Gen 1 vehicles

i've had 2024 Lyriq Sport 3 AWD for about a month and I just love it. I can't wait to go on a road trip to experience the Super Cruise. I really appreciate your channel. I'm learning so much about EV's and more so thank you very much. Question: What type of camera is the one hanging from the moon roof? It provides a great view of the action.

Hi.What does applying the 7,500 to the vehicle next year mean ? Is that different than the tax credit That there is now ?

Next year the tax credit can be applied at the point of sale which will reduce the sticker price. Until then you have to submit it as a credit on your tax return.

Thanks, Cad Cocierge just told me if released for transportation expect 6 to 12 weeks until it gets to dealer in Denver Wow! I said to woman I am 78 and too close to using my grave so time is of the essence, Nearing 2 years since ordered. I will continue with my CTS Sportwagon that still gets compliments from many. Less than 100K miles and in spiffy condition I still enjoy the ride. Key Fob issues only. @@thedukeofmanville

I ski often and roof rack is still unavail. I will engineer one but must get car here to design fitment. I had to do that on my CTS Sportwagon to take 4 people. With 3 we just carry skis inside with 1/3 rear seat down.

@thedukeofmanville I am about to buy my new Lyriq in the next 3 days its been shipped. Its the luxury 3 with the AKG suoer cruise and all. Is the charging speed at DC fast and all good for travel? Ive had two teslas but I'm astonished by the interior and exterior. Is it a worthy investment your happy with? I drive 2 hours back and fourth often and love to drive a lot.

I didn't have the opportunity to fast charge it, but on my 48 Amp home charger I got around 32 miles per hour, and it gets over 300 miles at Highway speeds.

Drive a CTS-V and then tell us whether you like the handling of the Lyriq. There is no excuse for Cadillac producing a car like Lyriq whose handling is not world class, even at its weight.

I don't care about handling for a highway cruiser like the Lyric. Besides the CTS is a $100K+ sports sedan and not a good comparison to a $60K SUV IMO.

Have you reviewed a Tesla yet? Better tech, software, and built on purpose from the ground up. Not in response to competition like most traditional.

Tesla vehicles are looking stale these days. The Model S and X look old AF, the Model 3 is already 6+ years old and the Model Y looks just like it. Ride quality, quietness, build quality, quality of materials, are all better in the Lyriq. The only things Tesla may have on the Lyriq is the implementation of infotainment, though that is likely to change over time as the Lyriq has Android Automotive as it's infotainment OS, and the supercharging network which will also become more comparable over time as GM is implementing Tesla's NCAS adapters in future Cadillac and GM EVs in the future.

@@justin9152Another big difference is the charging curve. The Lyriq seems pretty well done (except for availability). But the charging curve is an issue. If you take long road trips, the Tesla would save you a lot of time. The Tesla is also quite a bit cheaper. So it could depend on your needs, and your budget.

Most in the market for a Cadillac or other luxury vehicle aren't looking for the cheapest option in most cases. But ill agree that as of today there are other EVs with better charging curves (Genisis GV60 for example.
