I have two 03 escalades and they both are doing the exact same thing....one thing I did learn is the cigar lighter is connected to OBD reader port and if cigar lighter fuse is popped OBD won't read correctly on vehicle to srun/function properly...I did go check the lighter and It had small screws in one truck and a penny stuck in the other....cleaned it out and changed fuse and still had same issues but I believe it's starter. Related issues and ground wire of some sort

Try cranking the car from The fuse box If that’ doesn’t help try this plan -b is get a screw driver and passenger side touch the power poseyive and the solenoid at the same time if that doesn’t crank then check for broken wire usually but it did happen to me which was the ground Check all the wires and don’t forget to check the mega fuse but you have power in the car the redesigned from Gm the wires break very easy I had engine power reduced which turned to be the tps ground and the ecm ground wire was broken good luck

I forgot to mention the fuel pump module drive side it on top of the tire underneath plug it’ and in plug it and see what happens if tha doesn’t work then under the steering wheel there’s a another module Or reset the whole ecm turn your headlights on and disconnect the negative battery for 15 minutes but before you do that make sure to drain the whole electric in the car by getting a booster cable one on the each side drains it for 30 minutes RU-vid has more information
