Not to mention during his drama vs Adam. He complained about Adam weaponizing the KC fans against him and suffered first hand that retaliation. And now he does the very same thing to Vedius ? You know it exists, you know its possible, you know this fanbase will do it, and you know how it felt being on the receiving end, yet you would do the same thing on another person ? That's just low.

I'll play devil's advocate a bit, but as Caedrel pointed out, facts don't represent everything and, honestly, I can understand how he got progressively pissed off towards social media and narratives after the drama with Adam on Fnatic. He was glazed at a moment when we didn't see how important Upset's mental is for him to perform and he looks more inconsistent than the average player alright. However, I genuinely believe he also got cucked multiple times since Fnatic and he's been on poorly managed teams repeatedly (and I'm pretty sure we've all experienced situations where we basically have to do all the heavy lifting for bad teams in soloQ and it still isn't enough). I also understand he's getting paid to do that as a living and, as much of a privilege as it is, imagine someone at Riot looks at your account every season and tells you (as an example) : "mhmh you never got past plat 3 and you had 5 consecutives seasons with 15+ games losing streak, you had afks true but lol yeah 🤭" (which is in isolation, but Upset also mentioned that one clip is part of a bigger trend, so I do believe he isn't targeting Vedi or anything). Lastly, from a viewer pov, Vedius could definitely have been quicker on bringing up context and Medic really was too busy laughing to leave some space for Vedius to nuance the facts he stated. (Devil's advocate over, I personally think Upset is a sensitive boy too that shouldn't take his bad records too personally, but I'm trying my best to understand where he's coming from)

It was funny when after making LEC All Pro, the guy thought he was as good as Eastern ADCs and Guma. Now that he knows his place, he can't take it

I think he's frustrated with how his career turned out because he was at one point considered in convos to be the best ADC in Europe, but had multiple unfortunate circumstances with his personal life and FNC being a very badly ran org that kind of sidetracked him into the current situation.

@@PayAttEx FNC is a badly run org but you can't blame them for Upset's current situation. He had his best years on FNC. They just weren't good enough to win anything. Remove his years away from FNC all you're left with is a couple of 5-6 finishes and 4 10th place finishes.

@@SmokayG I mostly agree, but I'd just like to play devil's advocate a little and say that for league at least it seems that fan perceptions/ general opinions on a player carry a bit more weight than in traditional sports since it's a newer league and still finding its footing. What I mean is that the narratives people make about players can impact their chances of getting hired because the people in charge of those decisions aren't always very good at the game and can't tell the difference between memes on the internet and actual truth.

In theory this makes sense. But anyone who cares about the competitive integrity of the game(people who actually understand high elo gameplay), hates the narratives they make. The casters are boring and annoying to watch, not tryna watch some hard stuck gold players try to cast high level games. (If a riot employee is diamond+ they bought their account.) If they wanna bring viewership in, leave the narratives to the ex pros who actually know what they're talking about. Bring expros in to cast instead, and you'd see a healthy change. Then again, if anyone in the balance team or champion development team was even above gold. The state of the game itself would be better, thus more enjoyable to play and watch. But you can't expect someone to patch things got high elo/pro play when they play at a silver level and nerf things because they got shit on in game and *think* it's op. It's not overpowered, they're just shit at their game.

Nobody stands up to then because kc fans usually target harass, threat, dox and possibly swat people who have a piece of their mind about kc and their fans. He’s laning with Targamas so I feel bad for him but if he can’t handle public opinions then he should avoid social media and noise that he can’t handle or someone should monitor him to help him. Jankos did take it like a champ, but he also admitted that all the jokes had a bit of a bad impact on his career too since people actually started believing he was bad at carry champs or not as good mechanically anymore.
