What Nemesis says between 9:00 and 10:00 = omg such a delight to hear. ^^ It's obvious, but he says it with such inner clarity and casually confronting the current opinion of experts on the topic, while too many humans are still struggling with these basic concepts that would flip the world if they were common knowledge. I'm calling ''starseed'' just there lol. The best to you Nemesis.
I don't know much about him, the only impression I had on him was the year FPX won world, he said Doinb was worse midlaner at world, and at that time his team already lost. Then when Doinb proceeded to win world, LPL gave him a nick name: Salty Lord. I don't know if this makes him Toxic but definitely not humble for someone has no accolade
@@Rain-in3uk And Doinb was by far the most dominant midlaner in this season with all the offmeta picks he went with and stomped the competition to world championship title, so i find it pretty dirty to trashtalk someone when you have achieved nothing nearly comparable.
Didnt even know Nemesis got hated so much, I always liked him. I was sad that he left proplay but now I totally get it why he did it even if many thing said in the video might be wrong or only partially right. I will continiue supporting him since is one of the best League players I know as a Pro or a Soloqueplayer.
As much as i heard about league pros and some that i experienced, it's a pretty dark place and filled with frauds aswell who fake every credentials and are very manipulative while insanely incompetent when it comes to action. In EU G2 seemed the only healthy team from outside perspective.
What i think is so bizarre about Nemesis catching so much shit for that worlds is that was the most successful Western Run we've had since G2 made finals. Getting reverse swept at knockouts is amazing, by the Tournament favorites, no less. So many people should be ashamed for creating such drama. One of the most successful western teams in recent history, and it's now remembered as a disaster. So disasterous that it ended a pro career. Does this not strike anyone as unreasonable. The narative arround this achievement should have been flipped.
Well g2 made finals just year before, and on that same year g2 also did do semis. The thing is, 2018-2020 were best eu years, at the time they got knocked out, not only did we have hope cuz they already were 2-0 in the series, but also we were used to having finals 2 years in a row, as well as winning msi. So quarters werent as impressive, cuz were on a roll for previous 2 years.
@Craftee6 that's silly. Whose repeated it since? No one. Not a good reason to dumpster a career. Still a massive achievement. Think of where EU might be with Nemesis now.
Exactly, people talk about how FNC threw that series, but if you told a FNC fan before the series that they are gonna lose 3-2 to TES they would probably be happy with that, as they should.
Yeah, also in the video they somehow portray Summer 2020 as a horrible FNC split because of a mediocre regular season and the 0-3 in finals when in reality the regular season was just really close with even the last team winning 6/18 matches and the best team losing 5/13 and FNC being 4th at 9-9. The playoffs started off with a 3-0 sweep vs Rogue and 3-2 win vs G2. Like, FNC entered finals from the upper bracket and somehow this guys feels the need to use this as the basis for a narrative that FNC was in shambles that split?
Not a good reason but he isn't giving a reason so much as an explanation and it does explain it. If you eat delicious food every morning for two years and then we start serving you moldy bread you are definitely going to be sour at that. Nobody told you at that point that from tomorrow onwards you'll get to eat your own nails for dinner so you are still used to good food. Hindsight is a privilege, you can't have the day something happens. Right now we can say that Fnatic team was one of the last best teams we sent to the international stage. Back then, everyone was disappointed though. Again nobody says it's a good reason to dumpster a career. It is simply an explanation. There is never a good reason to ruin someones life. Still it happens so there must be explanations.@@witpickles
It's weird that people seem to think that the legacy and titles are what matters most to Neme. He clearly understands extremely well that being a player is a high-performance, high-stress job, same as any other job, and that if he agrees, he's very open-eyed to what the responsibilities of the position are and what it takes to meet those. He is mentioning wanting to only be with a high-tier team in the context of having management and staff that is knowlegeable, competent, and in will respect players doing what they need to by in turn doing what is needed for the org. Nemesis doesn't half-ass anything, and if he's going to be putting his whole ass in, he needs to know it will be in an environment where people respect that and do the same. Which is the world's most normal condition to have. Bitch is not wanting the silver platter because he's lazy, he's wanting a unicorn org because if the org is anything less than what he needs out of a team, he will prefer to be doing what he is doing right now, which is absolutely an understandable calculation to come to
in this comment section: a bunch of platinum players with inflated egos who have never been in a pro environment give their uninformed opinions like it's a fact. like seriously imagine seeing someone open up about his experience in what is obviously an abusive workplace and going "no actually ur ungrateful and have ego" what a joke you people are lmao
Let’s grant the abusive workplace, his personality is still horrendous. If you watched the first druttut tourney with Kesha, nemesis was literally huffing and puffing & clearly was letting his entire team know he was tilted when they were down instead of being a leader and trying to get the most out of his teammates. Nemesis shoot himself in the foot by criticizing so many players, teams, orgs, you name it. Irregardless if he’s right or wrong you just limit your options in the future by burning bridges.
@@fanwee5048 so you're telling me, that if you had supposedly good players in your team and they start running it down you wont tilt? are you saying you never tilt in your games? are you the chosen one? like an untiltable god? where even faker can tilt if his team is running it down ? yea sure bro ill wake you up when your finishing your wonderful dream
There is nothing wrong with some people not wanting to be "soldiers" for their team, as Nemesis stated. However, he is obviously not a person for "soldiering". I'm not calling him a snowflake, it has nothing to do with that. There could be team environments which are different and could be great for him. But, part of growing up as a player and person (in a hectic esports environment) is knowing when to shut up and do EXACTLY what is asked from you and don't whine about it later. And maybe try to pretend like you have a positive outlook so you don't bring others down. There are a lot of jobs with a ton more pressure than his (was), but there is a reason 20y person isn't supposed to take on them so it responsibility is mostly on management. But I don't see in what instance he was a helping/binding factor.
@@deejaydee1578 it was something related to C9 , I think . I don't remember whose faults to begin with . I think it was LS fault ( with good intentions) but Neme has no intention of forgiving him
@@ryugaroxas According to LS they argued over nemesis joining c9 and LS said in the heat of the moment a bunch of very mean shit like nemesis was a social climber. Can't remember which stream but probs a clip floating around somewhere.
@@deejaydee1578 well LS outside his opinions of the game still has a lot of mental health issues. He's talked about it openly a lot. Something might've happened between him and Nemesis because of that, like some kind of episode, and some people just don't want to deal with that. I don't really blame Nemesis at all if that was the case, not everyone is equipped to deal with that, and no one is obligated to.
@@deejaydee1578yeah from what LS said it’s was mostly because when LS was in the most difficult moments of his life having suicidal thoughts nemesis wasn’t emotionally available to be there for him and he also didn’t want to go to C9 with LS which LS was really angry about and they had a big argument about it which is understandable for nemesis not to want to go given he just wanted to focus on his streaming career after the whole argument LS tried to reconnect with nemesis and apologise reconcile the friendship but nemesis didn’t want talk to him at all that where we are today I’m obviously simplifying what happened you should watch LS part 1 recap he did around August last year to know all the details
I think Fnatic gave him a bumpy road in his career but Nenesis's pride wouldn't let him pick himself back up on his pro career. Still he seems happy just streaming now
he said himself why would i go to a low tier pro team who would pay me less then my stream revenue which is correct even big lck players will go to NA for the good revenue even tho pro gaming is his passion it's still a job and he has to make a living
@@ranime8156 I mean if he would return to the LEC he would get clapped really hard, dont´t get me wrong, he is a really good player in soloq but competitive is different, it´s not a soloq game,in the dust tournament he lose against a polish team having the most cracked players in his team, even with advantage he still lose.
@@marcosalmeida4055 hard disagree, he was already keeping up with prime G2, even in laning phase, and he was among the main reasons Fnatic even went to 5 games against TES. Anyone with half a brain can see why Bwipo-Selfmade-Hyli wasn't working well with Rekkles-Nemesis. Internally, things were a complete mess within Fnatic when Nemesis was on their team and barely any of that drama actually had to do with him
@@longlifetometal1995 yes and no, I feel it would prob take a few months, due to him already having lots of experience he could pretty easily get back into it after a few months prob
Well jankos joinad a poor team and might be back in a top half team now, but as Nemesis says he won't give up his freedom for a year or two in a bad team to redeem himself.
When a team and a player do not work well together (or as intended) and they break apart, both the team and the player will try their hardest to show that they were not the problem. Jankos was an extreme example because he managed to be the best jungler with one of the worst lineups ever in LEC, therefore showing why he is the GOAT jg in EU. However imagine if he was only middle of the pack. The narrative would be that he is washed and carried by G2 and G2 was right to get rid of him. I think this is what nemesis fears. As soon as he joins a bottom team and he wouldn't be able to do magic, then the narrative would become, that FNC was right and he is bad. And it is rly hard to seem a good player on a bad team.
He doesn't need to prove anything to anyone. Anyone who knows what they're looking at can tell he's a good player. His point is that the esports environment doesn't care about signing the best players.
@@od1568 that's just plain fanboyism. There is a huge difference between "being top 2 korea ladder good " and "beating caps and humanoid on stage level of good" and the latter cannot be proven until he does it. Noone knows how good he would be currently in pro play. It's not just about mechanics. Also since there is a bad narrative around him, he has the most to prove in pro scene. If he would join a team and his first game would be bad.. can't imagine the hate train he would get instantly.
@@gaborolaszi5062Why are you speculating when he literally gives his reasons in this video? Also Nemesis doesn't really need to prove himself as he has hit rank 2 kr ladder over lck pros and several korean top mids have talked how good he is when theyve played against him. So his skill is known in the scene he just hasn't been given offers for outside reasons like reputation and blacklists.
@@AsirIset Top player in SoloQ well we have seen those come to pro and just fail miserably, it is so much more that need to work in pro play. There is no I in T E A M for one.
ok, regarding the 37:00 moment, I say thats so funny to me. Working in profesional kitchens i often compare them to league games, a bunch of different people trying to work together in a high stress enviroment. I believe that cook took a look at the team and thought "y.... thats gonna be rough for them".
@NemesislolClips you do what makes you happy. These people doesn't undertand that success comes in different shapes and forms. I happy to see you bein a real person that understand your options. Just be careful out there, there are many people and predatory organizations looking to control you and own the right to your likeness.
Nemesis was always a fan of you, I've been playing league since s3 before that (HoN). We are similar in personality and everything. I'm glad you proved everyone wrong. Always rooting for you
If you had a similar personality you'd be up in the top 0.1% of a field. Nemesis is able to do the same thing for 80 hours a week for years. He is incredibly stress resilient, phenomenally industrious. If you can do the same thing for 80 hour weeks for years like Nemesis, then you'd be right up there.
@@timbradshaw5481 who gives a fk moron, everybody is obviously different if you look at little details. "Similar personality" doesn't mean "exact copy"
And to add to that, Sylas was 3 0 at that point. Azir isn't going to outfight that Sylas so Morellos is probably just a good supportive item and on top of that doesn't cost as much as other items.
As an NA player who doesn't really watch LEC (or lcs tbh), I feel bad for this dude. I think he has tons of potential. I hope to see him play competitively again
The hate down here is kinda hilarious. Much love to you neme. Idk your reason's for not playing in pro scene. After the years in the industry its fine to stay away, if its not good for your mental health. Stay as you are. ❤
He doesn’t want to take a chance playing on lower teams because he thinks his stock will drop and team’s would talk ab how his attitude was an issue (which it will be because he’s a toxic player). Plus he just wants to join a team that could pose as a contender vs the eastern teams.
@@fanwee5048 I don't think he's a toxic player. I think in the right environment with the right people he can shine. I don't know where you take your sources, why he is toxic but if it is just his behaviour in soloqueue, then I can just laugh.
It's got nothing to do with his stock as a player. He doesn't think the sacrifice is worth it on a fundamental level. Committing a year of his life to something he doesn't fully believe in is hard.
the fact i feel confident in giving a guarantee that this guy could easily go back to pro play and be a top5 midlaner in eu (at least) tells you everything you need to know about what fnc did to his image amongst other teams...
He has trauma from fnatic which is understandable. But the video guy is right. He is probably gonna have to find a middle tier team to take a shot on him so he can prove the narratives were wrong about him. Nemesis is holding out for the perfect scenario because he had such a terrible experience. But there is probably a step in between a great scenario and where he is currently. Hope he is happy regardless. But if he really desires to go back to pro play i think he needs to understand this concept first.
Honestly he should not join any team. Corperate People rarely care about their employees. He is independent now and makes good money. With not to much stress why give that up ? I see 0 reasons .
but what if that middle team contract jail him for 2 years ? just look at VIT Photon now..... he is literally in contract jail + there are so many examples of contract jail so he is afraid of being in the same scenario.
Nemesis is like Dopa right now incredibly talented midlaner but can't cope with the pro play team environnement because of reputation etc.. He choose to stream which is a nice deed too but i woulde love to see him clap EU mid on stage to level up the region for real.
i know but he decided to go streaming either way and elo boosting cause it's worth more money than being a pro player. From my opinion Skillwise he could have challenge the league with his macro if he would have take it seriously at the time. @@SeedRamples
the bad part that no one talks about is how fnc works as a team at that time. nemesis seemed like the one who was set on yeah you dont need to carry wait late game rekkles carries like he always does. rekkles didnt carry omg nemesis was such a bad player we cant win etc. self sufficent jungler or hyper carry type of jungler can work and are not set up by a specific lane look at canyon if you think about the carry jungler his name comes into mind ofc he plays around mid and you often hear about showmaker and canyon but beryl had a big impact as well how top works has a big impact and to an extend adc its just unfair to say oh yeah nemesis and broxah didnt work so great and selfmade nemesis didnt work great so nemesis should be the issue here. and ofc what did you expect the games they lost at worlds with nemesis are lost by g2 as well or g2 gets kicked out by another team on that caliber it was just the mirracle runs that eu somehow got into finals and gets stomped into the ground 2 years in a row so ppl had the expectation that eu is on a lvl to korea/china and in reality they were not on that lvl finals clearly showed how far behind they are both years were straight 3:0´s not remotly close to a win. fnc lost to teams they aren´t suppose to win getting tes who counted as the absolut tournament favorite at that time to 5 games was an insane feat on its own and sure you are up 2:0 and getting to 5 games can get you to lose focus. i always hate the blame on a single person if you cant see the great picture and its always that they pick 1 person last year before worlds zeus was somehow now washed and should be replaced in t1 just cause t1 doesnt perform to a lvl that they are expected its a typical reaction from people who dont even understand the game or the role someone played in a team.
Towards the end of the video, Nemesis says that the video creator got one thing 100% correct just by connecting the dots, but he can't say what it is publicly. You can also see that Nemesis had no reaction when the guy proposed that Nemesis lost 4kg during worlds because he got covid. What if Nemesis got covid during worlds and hid it?
@@pezosdrare3291 It is entirely possible to lose weight due to covid because of things such as appetite. I had a family member who lost a lot of weight post - covid due to this. It is not unimaginable.
@@k3n749 if you're overweight yes but with his body shape you need a fucking internal apocalypse to lose 4 KG. I'd bet my left arm he lost 4kg to something else like depression or big amounth of stress and not this trash covid bullshit
I disagree that Nemesis has been "blacklisted" or "the only thing he could change was quitting in 2020" When he declines starting offers from 2 top NA orgs? He had choices, he chose to be a streamer.
Really not trying to say anything bad about lcs, but man its literally dying and you cant really compare lcs top teams to EU top teams during nemesis era, he was looking for a G2 caliber team or just a team that would sign players that in his view were really good, lcs teams just didn meet those requirments.
well he is a realy good player im just sad he is not playing in lec any more but the most important part is what he wanna do if he is not happy playing profesinaly with average teams then dont play wish u all the best nemesis and have fun
100% agree, though I find it sad to see average teams being shunned. Last year we saw bottom tier teams nobody expected to perform regularly trumping the established elite, save for G2 who also lost a lot to be fair, there is hardly a team inside europe you can join with a straight face. If you were offered a spot in SK in the 2022-2023 offseason you'd never assume that team is going to be massively more successful than Rogue will you? Same goes for BDS, still it happened.
so funny for someone who have followed eu lcs since the beggining could see the bad things that happened in fnatic and to hear my theories being somewhat right is hilarious. sam and dardo cluless? who the fuck knew LOL
9:37 Disagree here a bit. In any sport, players have archetypes. We create them to simplify types of players and for the most part, it works. Say in basketball there are 3 and D players, ball handlers, rim protectors, etc. A good team will have a mix of these traits to balance out any strengths and weaknesses.
9:20 I think Nemesis is trying to say you can't categorize someone so simply. Because everyone is widely different. The thing is, just because someone has the same traits of not being critical or being simple minded. doesn't mean they don't hold the same traits of something else. Therefore yes they may hold one thing in common, but not multiple and thus meaning it doesn't hold credibility that you're trying to fit three players into a category that doesn't necessarily signify the true definition of each player.
LOL why did Nemesis say "I can't show this part" when Destiny was talking about and showing a graph about streamers' growth vs. viewers and awareness?? Can anyone answer that for me, I'm confused...
I used to be a FNC fan (stopped when Rekkles left) but never knew Nemesis was hated this much. He always seemed nice to me in their videos and I loved their roster back then. He also looks, talks and acts exactly the same as my younger brother so maybe I was just biased.
I put it down to bad people being in charge. Doesn't matter if a team member speaks up or not. The management and coaches should know the personalities of their team and its their job to get the most out of them
after caps left the team, fnatic managment should have made sure no star player would ever want to leave again. they legit ruined their own chances at several championships
sometimes i think the more someone hates someone the more they think and let that person live rent free in their heads. id suppose its a difficult job though earning money from hate watchers but theres other more dangerous jobs like deep sea diving or fishing.
Like Destiny? Idk, I like to watch people who believe X thing, and is capable of explaining why they believe in it in-depth. I find it very compelling, even though I don't necessairly agree with them. @@gaugea
Well I dont understand this crying how 2020 year was bad for fnatic, actually it awesome for fnatic result wise. If you compare LEC 2020 rosters with LEC roster 2024, LEC 2020 was extremely competitive. They lost to TES 2:3, TES was second best team in the 2020.
But people are psycho's, and self made is a bit of a psycho as well. Sounds like self made also had people in the org looking out for him while nemesis didn't.
From what I've seen and heard..... Nemesis is one of the best performing mids I've seen in LEC and probably he is better than anyone in LCS..... Things in FNC seems worse than I've imagined. And obviously in business related to Esports to keep their slot managers skapegoat a player.....It's simple to connect the dots.... Manager A (dardo for example) is trying not to get fired and blames everything on the more quiet player flamed by fans and community xD As a result Manager keeps it's job.... Same for some players like Selfmade... big ego solo player - bad for a team... trying to focuse the hate towards some1 else who will take blame for the loss xD In the end... Players keep their reputation.... and the org and managers blame 1 player for their mistakes.... It's how world functions sadly... If you can blame some1 else you go for it,,,,,
He should just put people on blast is what he needs to do. If there is no legal binding to that. Because we have heard that the esports scene is shady af a lot. And Bwipo mans somoene needs to tell that guy to learn to stfu
Mythia offhandedly drags the LPL by implying that Mithy’s backstage tirade at Nemesis(which already is in doubt) are commonplace there, (shows a news article about DFM, a Japanese team in the LJL)
honestly with legacy and exposure, i think a large portion of the league community knows nemesis either from his pro scene or from streaming, he is already a very popular and known to be a very good player as well
The thing you need to think about is whether the 40% heal reduction out-damages the damage from another item, like burn from Liandrys, or the extra AP from another item. That’s why the item was bad. If you want heal reduction, you pick it into Soraka or Janna (champs that can outheal your team’s damage). The heal reduction against Nidalee and Sylas is so negligible that it’s actually an awful first item, especially as a first purchase. You’re correct ofc that there’s healing on enemy team, but it’s not enough to justify 1st purchase Morello: that’s his point. The pro here is sacrificing a lot in damage for a passive that’s so useless early on.
I think for some people it’s also hard to like Nemesis. He’s not an outspoken person, his English is not amazing to the point where he always expresses himself the way he wants to, he’s not giving much context to things that should be given context, he’s all in all just a pretty passive personality, which some people find difficult to like.
Nemesis says that why play in a shit team and that signing for a team is a duty where you have no life is just so false, plus most pro players can't choose to just become streamer bcs they don't have the views, he is just not built for competing at the top level, atleast mentally cuz he definitely has the mechanics
Nemesis is one of the best players in the world and they treated him like shit. In champ select they should have been building comps around Nemesis instead of locking him in to some crap where he can't pop off.
What. The roster with Bwipo jungle was cracked. Yamato has later said that was the only year ever as coach were they were just outplaying Asian teams in practice. Then Upset's wife got assaulted and Adam was a child about it and we didn't see the roster at worlds or the next year. That was the last real real roster.
I have a feeling rekklesses downfall came from this. Rekkles strikes me as a person who doesnt really accept bad people like it was nothing. I think rekkles should have left based on how they treated nemesis
The red blue thing…everyone saw you and rekkles playing safe scaling farming etc. When the other 3 would go starting fights you 2 didnt want to take and coinflipping
dont u think spirit visage/ rylai would be good for this build? Rylai gives hp + slow + ap while spirit visage seems op due to passive buff to your healing (where almost whole kit i mean, runes, most items are based on that)
