who else missis the great times in the eighties in cearphilly

Great film, there have been some horrendous demolishon mistakes made over the years, just imagine if some of those amazing buildings had survived such as the Clive arms Hotel, what Caerphilly would look like today.

Does anybody watching this video remember or know of a pub called The Angel? Back in the day, when my family owned it, I believe there was also rooms to let for the night upstairs? My family owend it before WWII and shortly thereafter I think. I can't find pix of it on-line or anything. Only know the place thru family stories, but aparently, it was a huge spot for people from Caerphilly to gather.

I lived in Caerphilly for 14.5 years. I have no special memories of that place whatsoever.

What pubs are still up and running in Blackwood now ?

Just like to add, there was another wine bar in Castle street called Peckers, must have been open in the 80's, does anyone remember it?
