This is a NON-PROFIT Video - to record the changes to one of the oldest pubs in Caerphilly - The Bowls, which has been pulling pints since before 1825 (and first appears on the national census as an Inn in 1841). Rod, absolute magic. Reminds me of another pub a long way away. This is from a guilty can drinker. See you in the drinks aisle for a trip down memory lane!

Very interesting video indeed, especially the scene with Doctor who, I met Matt Smith in Brecon recently when they were filming it at the M.O.D for the Christmas special this year, look out for the Doctor with a walking stick and talking to a wooden Cyberman!, you won't read that anywhere else! I didn't know it was filmed here. I've passed this pub when going to the showcase cinema. One of the oldest buildings in Bargoed is the R.A.F.A club, going back the 17th century, rumored to be haunted!

Im from aber I moved away 10 years ago I cant belive thay pulled that old place down had a load of good nights in there sad to see the place gone . Dam tesco

I had no idea it was no longer a pub! Not impressed that it's now a Tesco :-( Had many a good night at The Bowls,not so many in Tesco. Shame, Great vid though. Da Iawn!
