Thanks for posting these great views of a station rather neglected by other photographers. I lived nearby for a short time in the early eighties and got to know a retired Caersws signalman He had many funny tales to tell about the Cambrian although one that amused me was when his mother (who lived in the village) was asked ''how many sons do you have and what do they do? '' her reply was: ''Four working and one on the railway'' Upon retirement, Emrys bought the next station house down the line at Pontdolgoch where he had grown up. Sadly, he passed away about 10 years ago. So honoured to have known him but regretdul that I never recorded his many anecdotes about the local railway. But further thanks to you for your SR ones listed above and for your series of articles in Model Railways c1990 which I still refer to. All very much appreciated
