Showing you how we built this custom Suzuki GS650 Cafe Racer .
Featuring a few select bit of custom shgeet metal work, and a complete overhaul on the looks and engine, the Purpose Built Moto team had a lot of fun working on this blacked out cafe racer
Built for a mate of the Shop, the rider bought this Suzuki as his first bike and wanted something special in a cafe racer style.

I have the exact same bike, thanks for providing links and info on the build, mines was also a bit of a Frankenstein when I got it. I finally found some decent pod filters thanks to you guys! Now I can finally finish my bike when I get home from Ft Gordon. Thanks guys!

Love this bike! I have a GS650 as well but this rear suspension look litte bit higher. Did you made any mod to mount larger suspension? Do you remeber what suspension is that? Looks sick man!

Mathewmartialart hi mate the pegs are a Cognito moto rearset with a custom bracket. There are some pics on the build blog at purposebuiltmoto.com. Mounted on a custom bracket

I’m looking at getting a gs750 from 1980 and am wondering why we don’t see as many Suzukis as cafe racers??

Nice tail end - been trying to work out what to do with my 81 GS650 too - that light also looks the goods - Wiseco top end kit first though. Thanks for sharing this build

I have a 1981 Suzuki I’m tearing down right now. Where did the black box module take way cause I’m trying to hide the electrical bits there’s so much from the factory. Also where you hide the break fluid reservoir?

How do you feel about the performance?

I Always tell riders, if they are looking for performance you dont start with a bike like this. However, from where the XV started, the ignition upgrades, exhaust and carbs have made the bike a lot more enjoyable.
