Super busy mother's day at the cafe. Mother's day is the traditional day that's very busy for all cake shops. A lot of stores closed orders a week in advance but we were taking orders all the way till the day before.
This year was the busiest day we've had since we opened our doors. I think it gets busier every year. This year we also had to get some extra help from friends in order to process all our orders and get it to customers efficiently. I can't believe we also did delivery on this day too! Way too much to handle. We had prepared lots of cakes for today, but still lots of styles were sold out by 2pm. However, we were able to still keep a good selection up until closing so our customers don't get disappointed and were always able to find a cake.
